Yes - I drew in all the rope coils and everthing. I've made a minor adjustment to the picture since I posted yesterday, to fix the perspective of the 'rope ladder', if you will, to the left. You can see the twisting and everything now.

The child is a little girl. She's not supposed to have any chest, since she's only 9 in the picture, but it's GOOD that you thought she was a boy. She's trying to masquerade as one, you see. It makes getting around as a stowaway much easier if you can be accepted as a dockhand.

Aw, thanks! Wood is really really easy. It's just a bunch of near-parallel lines scribbled along the grain. I'm glad you like the drawing, dahling!

So you just make some parallel lines and then...what? I need to know it is for something I am drawing and I am kinda stuck because of the mean wood! And no problem hun. *huggles*

well, honestly - I just scribbled lines that went in the same direction as the wood grain. What kind of wood do you need? Just planks? What will they be on?

Yes I do...I haven't scanned much of my art work just because I haven't really had a nice time with my scanner...it doesn't like me anymore...and so I really only have my friends to show. I can try and scan it right now and show you if you would like?
