Product of 140+ hours in <strike>Forced Labor Ca...</strike> Ox-Bow Art Camp
14+ hours a day on this, including three versions of thumbnails, paneling, blue sketches, pencil sketches, ink, and toning on 14 x 17 sized paper. Each panel took me about 1 - 2 hours to draw, 1 hour to ink, 1 hour to tone. Backgrounds added another hour. Fixing it up with Deleter white took about 4 - 5 hours. Scanning occurred in 16 sections. Going through my doodles and incorporating them in, while arranging the scans in Photoshop took about 4 hours. Somehow, cropping always takes me a while, too, so I spent a good hour doing that, and resizing.
Needless to say, I'm plain sick of this piece. I had this dream of coloring it, but I gotta tell you... 14+ hours a day for the next week just coloring would probably make my hand explode. I've never drawn so much in my life. I have SO MUCH MORE APPRECIATION for how long a manga page takes an artist.
Absolutely 100% of this was done by hand (Including the little figures scattered at the beginning and ending of the comic [though from separate doodles]. And the Kamehameha at the end is not in the original version, in case you are wondering haha! lol!).
This drained me of about 5 years of my potential life span. LOL I even pulled TWO ALL-NIGHTERS IN A ROW!
PLEASE APPRECIATE THIS. Faves/Comments would be nice <3 And enjoy : D

And FYI: Edam, Eva, and Marsho (short for Marshmallow <3. [it's a girl]). Special Thanks goes to *allymcbeal18 for inspiring me to learn wacky expressions and *AnnouncerGuy for inspiring me to keep working hard, especially after she submitted her own comic while I was laboring over mine. Oh, and an even more special thanks to ~CurlyHairedKaiju (who was in my class) for help with some facial expressions and body proportions. <3

arkillianTotal Posts: 3139Jul 2, 2006 3:42 pmI enjoyed it- as was said, the lack of dialogue threw me- I thought you were going to add it later til the characters started talking in picutres. Interesting effect. Be better if you posted as 3 seperate images rather than one, and linked them. It dORES remind me that men do think of sex every 10 seconds!! ^^ --- |

If you don't want to color it, you could always ask someone else to color it. But I think it's great the way it is also. Nice work. --- Help me squarsh bugs |
