In the arms of an Angel

My very first Escaflowne fanart ^^ As anime goes, this anime TOTALLY makes me fall back in love with Fantasy in a big way. It has EVERYTHING I love- Big war, tragic storys, scorn hero out of touch with happyness, heroine oblivious to her potential to save the world, Astounding romance, love interests of bishie proportions, crazy bad guy, family member gone to the dark side... I could go ON

It even has Dragons *faints* And they're Knights (samurai knights, but I deal with it)

Anyways, I desided to do a picture of Van and Hitomi flying off somewhere to safety. Originally it was ment to be just Van, buuuut... he looked kinda lonely. Anyways- I totally love his wings and how he swoops her to safety in that sceen in her dreams- she's like..."Wow- you're incredible." He's all being a sweety ^^ Van is adorable- all hot headed, then he's all nice and cuddly towards friends :3

Anyways- critique.... I always want critique, but may I PLEASE stress, that this is not even final pencils yet, and even though I take all thoughts in, this in no where near finished. The colours aren't final (although if you have suggetions, I will listen), and I am aware of some sloping issues with the pic. Ummm... I'll set it to Roast me, but yeah- Keep in mind that it's not final- k?
