This is a sketch I made, during the lucid, airy, half-dreaming state of mind that occurs at two in the morning, between overconsumption of Adult Swim and excessive sleep deprivation... The picture above does not do the original justice.

War Squirrel (Reply)Total Posts: 298Dec 9, 2006 7:22 pmThanks! I tried to make the drawing as real as possible while still keeping true to the style, and I'm happy with the result. --- The greatest story ever written. FORMERLY HALO MODDER (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

War Squirrel (Reply)Total Posts: 298Jan 11, 2007 5:24 pmThank you!!!!! I haven't recieved near the comments I though I would on this! The other one of TP Link I made, "link looking cool" didn't look half as good, and I got 3 fav's. Oh well. I appreciate the comment! --- The greatest story ever written. Miseri (Reply)Total Posts: 49Jan 11, 2007 5:38 pmYou're welcome. <3 Ah, yes, that is most disappointing. I hate getting a ton of comments and favorites on effortless sketches, and then getting nothing on stuff with hours of work put into it. It's disheartening, really. (Like this one time, I had a couple five-minute pen-doodled chibis as a preview image, and the real drawing was one of the VERY few pieces I've ever done with a complete background, and someone just had to go say they liked the chibis more. ._. Eheh, I ramble.) Personally, I like this one more. I think the eyes look nicer in the other one, but this one has more to it--more detail, more depth. Eh. People like what they like. *shrug* --- |

War Squirrel (Reply)Total Posts: 298Jan 11, 2007 6:38 pmWell said, and I feel the same way. Just like your's with the background, this is one of the few i've done with this much detail, with this kind of focused shading in select locations. The other one was one I did in math class. --- The greatest story ever written. FORMERLY HALO MODDER (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

Miseri (Reply)Total Posts: 49Jan 11, 2007 7:01 pmI think of all the things I've ever posted online (some 300 somethings, I think) less than ten-possibly even less than five--had backgrounds. So it hurt considerably. --- |

War Squirrel (Reply)Total Posts: 298Jan 12, 2007 7:05 amRight. At any rate, even if we didn't recieve comments on those we like best, it's better that we got the comments at all. It's the basis of thankfulness... Thanks. --- The greatest story ever written. FORMERLY HALO MODDER (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

626elementalTotal Posts: 69Aug 22, 2007 9:11 amI love the expression! The pencil shading is very good, but you need to decide which way the light is coming from... some of the shadows are a bit off. |

War Squirrel (Reply)Total Posts: 298Aug 23, 2007 4:23 pmThanks! I appreciate the comment. As for the shadows, that's one of my problems. I get so into the drawing, I often forget where it's comin' from. Again, thanks! --- The greatest story ever written. FORMERLY HALO MODDER (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
