Yes, that is traditional colouring? I had't used colouring pencils for about five years (and this is way better than anything then). I know I'm not too good with these things, but lack of practice is to blame, though I am working on it. (Only having a regular 12 pack of pencils with no skin tones isn't too helpful either, but I think the colours blended OK.) The pressure marks show up quite clearly on the scan here too.
