Remember When It Rained

Artists

Artist's Comments

Wash away the thoughts inside that keep my mind away from you.
No more love and no more pride...and thoughts are all I have to do.
Ooh, remember when it rained, I felt the ground and looked up high and called your name
Ooh, remember when it rained...in the darkness I remain.

Tears of hope run down my skin, tears for you that will not dry.
They magnify the one within and let the outside slowly die...
Ooh, remember when it rained, I felt the ground and looked up high and called your name
Ooh, remember when it rained...in the water I remain...

Running down...(repeat)

~Josh Groban~

~~~~~~
My character Crispin again, in the water of the pond named after him, feeling the presence of the one he loved and lost. Her name is Cassara and she lingers still, trapped in spirit and chained by love to the earth. Together they both mourn and remember eachother...
I really like how you handled the reflection and rippling of the water around his legs... it was striking even from the front-page thumbnail.
That's a lot of people's focal point I've noticed...the water's reflection. I haven't really drawn water too much, but it's really fun.
Thank you so much for the comment. [emoticon]
Aw, dude. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!!! You don't even know. So I will thank you very much for doing this, and pout because now when I try and draw the song, I'll be thinking of this. xD
On a critiquing note, I don't have much to say. This is BEAUTIFUL! *wonders if she can color it for you?* Just SO full of emotion and movement, still without being static in the least. And frickin' SAD! Fits the song so well, whether or not that was the original intent.
Wow, thank you so much for the wonderful comments! It actually wasn't the original intent to draw this for the song, but that gorgeous song always reminded me of the character. So I'm so happy it came out well...
And can you color it? I'd be friggin' honored! I don't get requests like that, so please! I'd love to see what you do. [emoticon]
Yay! Even if you didn't mean to draw the song, it still came out so well! And I'd be thrilled to color it! It's so pretty. ^___^
I love this. I was surprised to see this here, because when I listen to that Josh Groban song, this is exactly the kind of scene I imagine.. someone standing in the water like your picture, (a male too, in my mind because it's J.B.) looking up in trance or something, or trying to connect with someone in soul .. Great job, it's my favorite one of yours so far. I haven't seen them all.
Oh thank you so much for the wonderful comment. I heard that song and about died, and it fit this character so well, especially since the pond he's standing in is an integral part of his story. I've wanted to illustrate it for a while and it's really one of my favorites too. Thanks so much again!
