Elf Sketch

This is one of my first drawings with this new program I downloaded called Art Rage. I love this program. It's light weight and I can draw quickly and easily on a tablet with it. I will start doing some more sketches with this program. Doesn't it look like real pencil? This sketch was created entirely digitally.

This drawing isn't very creative. But often times when I draw personal drawings I draw not to be creative but just for the sake of drawing... moving the pencil around... At work I constantly have to be creative and sometimes its just fun to sit down and draw just to draw. Not to come up with anything clever or fantastic. Just to draw.

I often feel the same way about my music. I just enjoy moving my fingers across the keys of a piano. i may not even care so much whether I'm advancing my piano skills but just enjoy listening and moving my fingers around and expelling some energy.

I haven't drawn too many personal drawings lately but I'm seriously going to make an effort now to draw more regularly. My goal would be to draw something at least every other day. Even if it is a non-creative same ol same ol drawing like this one. And even if I've done a lot of drawing at work that day.
