This was done for one of my media/art classes. Done on printer paper with water color pencils and a very fine tip dark brown sharpy. My scanner loves to eat color so am a little upset that it looks bleached to me. The real one looks much better. Please let me know what you think!

cruffinsTotal Posts: 682Feb 28, 2008 6:48 amHon, I've had my scanner eat everything I've ever posted. Its just one of those things. This looks really good to me. I did a few textured peices with colored pencil awhile back, and the black themed one was horrible. You can't even see the patterned shirt I spent so much time on. Scanners are evil, plain and simple. They hate colored pencil in particular though. --- avatar made by blissbunny |

darkchyld (Reply)Total Posts: 31Feb 28, 2008 7:03 amThanks. I wonder if they will ever create a scanner that is anorexic or something so it isn't always hungry! --- "Hope is the fuel of life and the womb of love..." What ever. |

darkchyld (Reply)Total Posts: 31Mar 3, 2008 6:38 amI really don't like photoshop, Pixarra Twisted Brush Studio blows it out of the water, I think, especally when emulating real brushes, textures and canvas. Not to meantion it is 300% times more user friendly than the new photoshop cs3! --- "Hope is the fuel of life and the womb of love..." What ever. |

cruffins (Reply)Total Posts: 682Mar 3, 2008 2:25 pmReally? Is it more user-friendly than GIMP? Kuz I need one that an idiot can use. I'm that impaired, seriously. --- avatar made by blissbunny |

darkchyld (Reply)Total Posts: 31Mar 4, 2008 5:16 amThan gimp.... Well.... uh, no. Gimp is very straight forward and basic... but then again yes because with twisted brush all you have to do is look through a million galleries for what brush you want, then point click and paint. Getting used to all the brushes (with pro studio that is) is the most complicated part to me. Pixarra has a free trail, and a pathitic free version, but grab the trail and see what you think. (I just google it, i don't remember the site! --- "Hope is the fuel of life and the womb of love..." What ever. |
