A horse! *gasp* A horse with terrible anatomy. XD;;;
I had some odd and end bristol pieces laying about and figured, why not try my hand at some equine art? So viola, here it is. A lovely black stallion with a rugged and wild mane streaked with accents of brown. I was going for an Arabian, but the nose isn't upturned enough, so we'll just say he's an Arab-cross. Mmmhmmm~ Still, I love how it came out, especially the texture of the mane. Yaaaay!

This is a lovely horse with a lot of personality - his eye alone gives a sense of depth that is captivating. I love the fantastic highlights on his mane and body, as well as on the sand in the desert behind him, and the richly contrasting colors make this work just come to life. Beautiful work! |
