I choose the Shadows

Artist's Comments

This is my first ever full colour Harry Potter fanart (I only made black-white drawings before this).
This work depicts a young Snape (slightly romanticized :p), deciding which path he will follow.

Trent Reznor!! You know, I remember when I saw some pics of that guy and I thought, 'Hey, Snape'! So you may be kinda right.
O, btw, that's his cape, yes.
Thanks for the comment!

Your detailing with the watercolours is just astounding - and your first try at full colour? Beautiful.

That tree, though, I think has my full attention. It has so very much character!

You know, it's an interesting choice you did to portray Snape. It actually reminds me of the book illustrations, but still very original! The colors are building up the atmosphere very nicely. [emoticon]

Thanks so much for your nice words Lilimayhem [emoticon]

I love drawing and painting trees, and I love the night, so there's definitely more of this kinda stuff coming up.

Wow this is fantastic! You are very talented. Everything about this painting is ... well, perfect. The trees, the swirling cloak, and his face (very handsome).
