Critiques for "Rurouni Kenshin Himura"

I can't believe that's colored pencil! You have it blended so beautifully. His eyes are so amazing. You did a great job particularly on those. I love the scar on his cheek too. The only tiny little suggestion I have is to make the line for the sword (the part that's flush with his neck ) a little darker so it stands out against his flesh. Other than that, it's perfect. This is by far my favorite one of yours, so far. Excellent work!

To be honest I did use the photo delux thing to smooth out some of the texture, so its not all the pencils. Maybe I'll scan the originals again sometime and put them in my unfinished section so people can see the difference between what I did with the pencils and what I did with the background and tools in photo delux. I know exactly what you mean about the sword I tried to fix it in the photo thing, but I only ended up screwing it up worse...so I got lazy, gave up, and decided to leave it, ha ha. Maybe one day I'll fix it. Thank you so much Lady Anime79!

Why does kenshin looks so ugly in this picture??? Don't post it up if you don't know how to draw or whatever you did to it because it's too ugly to be Kenshin

You know “anonymous�, if you wanted to flame my drawing you could have at least had the fortitude to use a words more evocative and dramatic than just plain old "ugly". I know that is what people probably call you all the time, but my GOD--use a Thesaurus! Expand your limited vocabulary and make it interesting! Example: “This drawing, which looks as though you have birthed it from the very bowels of hell and which I have had the incredible misfortune of laying my poor soiled and violated eyes upon, is so disgustingly repulsive that I am shocked I have not yet expired from the unimaginable devastation its hideousness has evoked upon my very soul.� I realize you are probably a little slow on the uptake, however, your flame is miserably disappointing to my standards and you have insulted me with your lack of thought that went into writing it. Have a nice day; you brain deficient moronic nit-wit.

You know EBS, Lady Anime just told me about this and I had to come here as soon as I knew. I think your response is perfect, and to be here for support. This flame probaly came from someone jealous of your obvious talent, and the only way to tell you was to try to make you feel bad. Unfortunately, that's how alot of people operate nowadays. Artist to artist, I have a deep respect for your art, and look to it for my own improvement.
