Critiques for "Princess Guardian II"

Oh she looks great! I've been waiting for this one in color. I really like her hair... it looks like mine, tee hee hee. I love the way you have the light bouncing off of it. It makes her hair look really shiny and smooth. You did a great job coloring this. I love how the little dragon is darker than the rest of the picture. That makes him stand out more. You really brought this picture to life. Great job!

Thank you for the feedback! I'm sooo glad you like it. I do like the dragon; he was originally intended to be a silhouette, but he neede to stand out a little more, I think. The only thing that was a real big pain was the stonework... gawsh, that took forever! lol...

I bet it did take forever. That's why it turned out so great. You put your blood, sweat, and tears into this picture and your viewers can really feel that. I always say that you can tell a good picture by the amount of detail and work the artist puts into it.
I think you did a great job making the dragon black. That definately makes him stand out more against the brighter BG colors. I was just curious if you colored it with colored pencils. The shading around the moon looks like CP, but I'm not quite sure. It certainly is beautiful.

Yes, this was all colored with Prismacolor pencils. My friends keep telling me I gotta upgrade to digital art, tho! lol

I really think you should stick with the colored pencils. You work with them very well. I really almost can't believe that it IS done with cp because it's so vibrant and blended so perfectly. I still need to upgrade to digi-art. Someday...
The pictures that took the most out of me were the pencil sketches of Kaiba and Yami Yugi that I did. Those took forever to finish. But, you're right... in the end it is all worth it. Much like child birth.

Well you work with pencils very well. If I were you (I wish I was because of your gallons of talent. ^_^) I would keep working with them. You work so well with them . You seem to know exactly what colors to use and where. And the way you bring them together is amazing. You definately have the "it" factor of art.

Gorgeous!! I knew the colored version would be good. It really makes the picture come to life I love her hair, and the scenery outside the window...I like how you colored the sky around the moon to give it a glowing effect. The stonework looks great in color too! Wonderful job!!!

What a unique way of colouring! The perspective is so ambiguous... I don't know if that was intentional, but I love it. It plays tricks with my eyes.
