Critiques for "Naruto a Badass?"

lol This is great. I'm not much of a Naruto fan but this is a cool pic. I like how you did his hair too ^_^ I don't really have much of a roast to give you sorry. I don't see anything off about it.

thank you jill, it took god only knows how long to get this colored caus something bothered me. Its hard for me to color because i'm finding out more and more that i'm such a perfectionist when it comes to coloring a pick--i know that it doesn't look right and that its not the way i want it to be, but most of the time i have ardly a clue of what'exactly' i want it to come out looking like....woo sorry had to get that off my back. Thank you soo much, tha means alot to me...ever have moments like these?

Oh yeah I have tons of moments like that. Especially with coloring. I always have this image in my head of how I want it to look but it never comes out that way but anyways you're very welcome ^^

You're right, it's very rare to see Naruto drawn in a different style. I really love this, from his awesome expression down to the simple-but-not-overwhelming background ^^~ Absolutely fantastic~

As a critique, the only piece I want to pick on is his hand. Compared to his face, which is so wonderfully shaded, his hand looks so flat! And since it's such a large portion of the picture... X3

thank you for the support!Q And as in the case of the hand, 1 it looked weird to me, i mean people asked me if it was a gang sign for petes sake O.o so i tried not to draw too much attention to it and focus on the face. 2 its more so in the light (above) and farther from his face so i tried to make it light, but when i went to add the blue in it took the place of the shadows and the overall look with it..so yeah. How was my heartfelt story, compellinm huh? Actually i'm glad you noticed it was really bothering me ^.^.

Gang sign? O__o;; ...*goes back to look again* ...Just looks to me like he's holding his kunai all cool XD Gangsta Naruto... *snickers*

And yeah, I can see what you're talking about with the light, but you shouldn't be afraid to draw attention to his hand! It looks really good! If you just did a tiny bit of contrast (the same shade as on the dark side of his nose), it would fit perfectly ^^~

yes naruto is trying to be gansta and all cool and his is in his own cheese way. i actually did put in a lot of shadow on the had but when i went back to put in the second light sorce it just covered the shadow which was intended at first, but not to that extent. Oh god help me .

OMGosh!! Thank you, i did try on the nose..they were always hard for me to draw in the begining so i take pride in wast i do now XP.

I know how you feel! Noses always gave me trouble at first. I think they're one of my favorite parts now, on my stuff and when I see them well-done on other people's.

So weird, though, to say "I like your nose!" LOL

yeah now i put alittle extra into my nsesY.^;, but thats alright if we're both on the same level then its not weird, so thank you. oh and i wish you luck on your next venture to the pen and paper lol.

Ahem. But aside form all that: nice pic! I like his expression and the way he's sort of swinging that shurinken like it's a set of keys or something. ^^ Also, I think you did a good job making him look like something of your own, as opposed to just working off the anime.

I am definitely guilty of drawing fanart in its own respective style... and the fact that Kishimoto's style is awesome doesn't help matters... or maybe it does.
