This piece is actually really good. The background is nice, and I like the little bit of red for the button. His chin is a little pointy I think, but other than that great job!

It's a little late to fix the chin, but thanks ^^ [emoticon]

Very nicee tones! I like the pencil version a little better than the one with color in it. While I really do like the way the color plays off his glove, I think the blue is too vibrant for a background.

Maybe you could think about softening that a little, or de-saturating it a bit. I don't think the lines really add to the piece, either, but maybe that's just the color problem because they stand out so much now.

EXACTLY- That's why I'm wanting crit on that [emoticon] See, the blue is a selling point. If I can make it work with the forground it'll be awesome. Dull colours aren't nice for posters, but I do have a dull version. I currently like the pencil version beter too. Maybe down toned colours work beter with pencils T.T

Well, if you want to keep the blue, you could always try to make the foreground stand out a bit more. Make it more contrasting -- instead of the soft pencil tones, you can either erase some and use marker or go into photoshop and increase the contrast enough to bring back actual white to the face.

You mean bump up the levels? I could do that, but it's a shame to lose all the details on the face. I couldn't erase it either. I think a colour underneath it would be enough to brighten it. The other option is making the pencil lighter and toning it to a colour. Maybe I could try that... ^^ Thanks for the time.

Maybe even a dark blue tone, to tie it in more with the background?

No problem, I hope I helped. ^_^

Not so much dark- maybe dull. Tom is already pretty dark in this picture and I can't lighten him. It's mixed whether people like that blue or not- it's funny...
