Critiques for "Eyseron"

This is absolutely amazing. I love this drawing, the background is breathtaking, it has a such a quality to it. And the trees in the back seems to be shrouded in myst, wow wow wow!!!!!! I also love this caracter of yurs is downright yummy, great great job Dennis! I have a suggestion to make if i may...it just draw my eyes, the caracter's face looks a bit too long ,and his chin a bit too pointy! But the rest is AMAZING! New fav!

Thank you Lilymayhem, I see what you mean about the face. I have tendencey to make my faces a bit long especialy when it comes to elves. It's a habit I try to break out of but it sometimes slips back in without me noticing such as in this pic. Ah! I knew it! I was in the bus and i was thinking about Eyseron, about his face and i told myself, that if you wanted to draw an elf, than the face is perfect! But if it was a man, his face would have been too elvish! Yes i do love it, it's my favorite! Youre welcome Dennis!!!!!

Thanks Mal. I am also happy this is finaly done. I don't think I could of gone much longer with this one as I was just about getting to the point where working on it was like pulling teeth. Whew!

lol, I'm with Lili and bogus on this too. This is definately one picture perfect art. The BG is highly captivationg, and the look of the character's armor and bow is SO friggen real. This makes me the third person to comment that is puttin' this is their fav's. Awesome work dude.

Thank you for the fav and for the great comment. That background took more work than you'd believe. It was like watching ants take apart a dead bug. Very long and very laborious. Comments like yours made it worth it though.

Oh Lloyd, he looks so awesome! I am so glad that you got this finished. I love how the background softly begins to fade the further back you go. You did have a hard time with this drawing, didn't you. Poor thing. But you covered up everything perfectly and he looks so.... HOT!!! Yes, Lloyd, I said it. He looks hot. There. Thank you Kristy! I was waiting to read what you thought of this one. I am very pleased with how this one turned out and that i'm getting such a positive response from everyone. I also would like to say that I appreciate the sympathy for all of the problems I had while working on this one. I don't think I would of finished this one if guys here at PD didn't keep encouraging me with your comments. But above all else I should thank my wife for watching the kids while I worked on this night after night (I feel like i'm accepting an Oscar, lol). Now for the HOTNESS! I guess he's pretty handsome and it must be true because even my friend Paolo thinks so, LOL! Thank you once more Kristy and now that this one is done my next drawings should come out fairly quickly.

LMAO! I am quite sure Paolo enjoys him very much. Probably not as much as you, but at least he gets to see what you can create. (I was going to say "what you can do with your hands" but I thought that would be too wrong. :lol you did such a wonderful job on this despite all of the obstacles that were thrown your way. And look what you were rewarded with for all of your hard work. This drawing is magnificent. It is nothing short of a work of art. Plus, you got to put in a few more elements that you originally weren't planning on. ^_^ I cannot wait to see these new drawings that you will be doing. Your works are always worth the wait though. Woah woah woah woah woah!!! This is SOOO cool Dennis! I think this is my favorite piece of yours so far! (and believe me its damn hard to pick one ha ha ) Just-wow...it is really amazing. I'm glad you uploaded this into a larger image because now I can see SO much more of the detail you put into it. I think I said it on the last one, but I'm saying it again, I LOVE the water...it really looks like water. Also the way you drew your character is just awesome, I love his bow, boots, and all the other accessories/clothing you put on him. The scenery is just breath-taking. I can't see a trace of the little 'incident' that happened and I am SO glad you were able to save this piece and continue with it. FANTASTIC job Dennis!!

Thank you so much Bunny! I was very happy with the end result when I finaly put down my pencil and stood back. One of the reasons was what you focused on last update. The water, this was the first time I had ever rendered water succesfully and it really makes me feel good that you complimented it *hugs*. I also want you to know that even though there were so many problems with this one that in the end I think it was worth it. I'm glad to see you thought so too. Thank you Bunny for such an uplifting and happy review. I feel like I just exhaled after holding my breath for along time.

This looks very close to a photograph, Lloyd. It's one of your very best pieces yet, despite the troubles you had with it. It's very peaceful and serene, and one can almost feel the leather of his clothing. The foliage and water are to die for and.. GAH! There's nothing to say, except that this is one of my new 'favourite art pieces of all time'. Masterpiece, my friend.

WooooooooooooooooW Dennis, you certainly have gone through the wringer with this one. But my word I'm glad you finished it. He has such an allure to him my friend! Almost looks a little like Trunks......And that's a VERY good thing. *drools* Your attention to detail continues to astound me, for I could not even imagine the amount of time you put in to this. Especially with your little blossoming artist to aide you This is without a doubt a favorite, and I wait anxiously to see more of your work. You continue to amaze me.

Let me first thank you for the fav and then for the lovely comment you just gave me. I am so relieved that this one is done that it feels like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. This was not a fun experience for me. It was when I first began but then as problem after problem arose I became increasingly frustrated and irritated until it felt like pure hell near the end. But you know what... I think it was worth it. This pic has got to be one of the longest i've ever worked on a piece and comments like yours make it worth it in the end. I am going to my couch now and collapse for a couple of days.

This really is gorgeous Lloyd... wow. I love everything about it! Seriously, everything.... except the fern. I don't trust ferns... deceitful plants, they are. But everything else is smashing. We're not worthy!!
