I thought that was Nessy for a second [emoticon]

I really like the fireflies, and the individual highlights and shadows on the dragon.

Thanks! The scales did take a bit of work, so it is good to hear that they are appreciated. [emoticon]

Beatifully done! Despite the fearsome dragon, the entire scene has a serene feeling. The "fireflies" and the placid surface of the water add a nice touch that makes the entire setting feel much calmer and more relaxed.

Thanks for your kind words. I am glad the peaceful atmosphere I was going for came through.

Don't know why you say you have issues with all your pieces - this one's definitely a beauty!

But, I can understand. I see flaws in all of my work as well, but that's why I started with these online galleries - to have people to help me learn and improve.

Your work is already beautiful. You have a great knack for colour - something I've always struggled with a bit myself.

I really like how you did the water and clouds in this. Nice detail in the dragon's scales too, the reflecting purples and blues!

Since it is a good omen it doesn't need to be that fierce looking ^_^. I love it. The night shadows and glimmering water, great balance. The highlights on the scales are beautiful, I can almost pet him. I love the eye (looks like a little jewl) is very alive and wild. The fireflies floating around makes it look even more magical. Great job! I love dragons of all kinds.
