Today is the first day of a big Anime convention in my area called Fanime. I've been looking forward to going to it this whole year. A lot of my friends are going and I'll be cosplaying as Link. It's going to be a blast.
Except this morning I started feeling like I was coming down with a cold. I've got the runny nose and soar throat caused by post-nasal-drip. But I'm not entirely sure if its a cold or if its just allergies.
I haven't gotten a cold or the flu that much this past year. This has been one of the best years in a long time for me with concern to those annoying viruses. But there have been many times this year that I thought I was getting a cold but it ended up going away the next day or later in the day, so I guess it just ends up being allergies.
My allergy problems just started out as a simple sneezing and runny nose every now and again. I typically have to blow my nose around 5 times every day. It's an extremely mild day to day thing. But I noticed since the beginning of this year it seems to be getting worse by manifesting in little acute attacks. They feel kind of like mini-colds. Sneezy , runny nose, sore throat and sinus pressure. I've tried a few allergy medicines but so far I haven't found one that works. There are a lot out there though so maybe I'll find one that works.
Anyway, it just sucks that this has to strike right when I'm going to a con. Hopefully it won't turn into a full blown cold or I may have to stay in bed instead of enjoying the con
