This blog will be primarily about my art but also little personal things about me. My life completely impacts my art so the two go hand in hand. I hope people get a better understanding of my art through this blog as well as being informed of new art, upcoming projects and new products.

My animals have an uncanny sense to know when I make a teeny bit of money. This is when they choose to have some sort of health problem. So sure enough I parted with a painting and we ended up in the emergency clinic this evening with my best bun, Huffel Puff. It covered half his bill.



He may have GI stasis which is the number 1 killer of rabbits if untreated. I may have to go in for x rays and a gambit of tests blah blah blah $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ tomorrow if he lives. I fully intend to treat my Puff. To prepare myself and my wallet for what could be weeks or months of treatment I am auctioning and having sales.

After a rough couple of days and one crying fit from sheer exhaustion I finally got some sleep! I went to bed at 1am and go up around 8:30. I hope that I can continue on this schedule. I still feel really tired but I think I should stay up. Thank goodness for my Tossimo beverage station, I can just drink Chai tea all day if I have to.

Poor Johnnie was up as late as I was last night. Our neighbors are under the impression they live in a frat house and are up at all hours. They crank up the surround sound so loud it shakes our walls and bed. He tried to knock on the door but they wouldn't answer so we had to call the cops. If this was a once in a while thing I wouldn't care but it is every night. They dump beer cans in our bushes, their drunk girlfriends are always in the street screeching like cats in heat. They all work in bars or something cause they come home super late. The drove out the neighbor on the other side. I hope they get it together or leave.

It is still really hard for me to concentrate.These pill side effects are starting to lessen though. I think my best bet is to do some ACEO's. That was I can be semi productive and make some money for show fees. I haven't done an original in ages and I do get poked from time to time to do them. Maybe some OSWOA's would be good to try since I can't focus for more then a short while.

We got a little dusting of snow last night. Everything looks like it is covered in powdered sugar. Me personally I want a blizzard but the rest of the world is rejoicing in the lack of severe weather this year.

This weekend we plan on finishing painting our kitchen, which is sort of an F U teal. I blame Ursula Vernon, she sold me the Tea Labels that started all of this.False Advertising Once we have a little extra we want to get the Marsupial Mango label and Jasmine's Skulls and Stars. It will look nice with our pink and black accessories. I will post pictures when it is done. You really have to see it to appreciate it.

My cats are really beating the crap out of my oldest cat Kahlua. I have to keep breaking them up. They go through phases over who doesn't like who. It is like high school. I need to go bust them up again and make Kahlua feel better about himself. Have a great weekend.

Well due to financial constraints and EBAY jacking up its fees I am closing down my EBAY store tomorrow. You have until midnight to pick off of the carcass. I will still have auctions from time to time but I can't shell out 50 bucks a month in fees for a very paltry profit.

I have been doing a lot of administrative work lately. Fielding emails and following up on contacts I made at INATS. I am happy to say I have obtained a sales rep who will be taking my stuff to trade shows so I don't have to schlep all over the place all the time. I am still attending INATS West and will be doing some trade shows in the future but I will be having a pro handle it for the most part now.

Figurines are back on! I have plenty of the current 5 released with 11 more being manufactured at the moment and 6 additional designs in the prototyping phase. It is a really exciting time and I hope that it all goes well. I will be taking pre orders for the ones being made now in April. I will keep you posted as things go along. There is also talk of ornaments. Nothing is confirmed at this time. I am hoping things work out.

I need to get my cameo's done! I am missing a jewelry part I should just bite the bullet and order . In fact I will. I am also happy to let you know I will have a sterling jewelry coming out in the coming months! Good stuff all around.

I will be working on my new painting and some new sugar wyrms very soon! Johnnie is working on my first catalog for my sales rep at the moment. We are also planning on setting up the basement for order processing. As soon as that is all ready to roll my grandpa will be coming in once a week to do the orders. Also to my EBAYers and anyone who ordered, today the post office was closed! Sorry! It will all go out tomorrow. My once a week shipment day may change to suit what my grandpa wants to do. My grandma still has that staph infection (yeah the one from before my wedding) and she gets in home IV therapy every day, so he will pick what is best for him. No matter what once a week everything will go out.

I was up so late last night I was just getting up when Ev was leaving for Farpoint. Lord knows how long he will be there or what he will come back with. Lets hope Counselor Troy from Star Trek doesn't make eyes at him, he'll never come back.

Today I have a rare Saturday to myself, I am not sure what I am going to do! Ze puppy needs a bath so he is getting one much to his chagrin. I will be able to get some uninterrupted painting in so I am going to do that too. The background is about 1/2 way done, this one is taking forever. In between layers drying I may try and do another Sugar Wyrm since they are so popular.

I wish you all lots of candy kisses, hearts and flowers and if you are feeling angsty copious pins for your voodoo doll.

I woke up to a big surprise this morning!! I got 18 roses!!My husband is so sweet They are so pretty but my kitties think they are for them and think they are very tasty. I also got lots of candy and a very disheveled looking stuffed dog. He is very cute! Tonight we are getting take out and watching Across the Universe!!! I am excited.

I was up till 4am! I couldn't sleep so I started painting, I was worried when I got up I would see it and go what the hell?!!! but it is OK. I started with this bright shiny sky color and it just wasn't right. I changed it to a dismal gloomy color. This piece has a mind of its own! I am happy to be painting again and I hope I am able to keep it up. I was so out of it this morning a prize came out of the cereal box and I didn't notice until AFTER I poured milk on it. It was a hot pink Barbie bracelet....At least I didn't eat it. Mood:

Anyone else watch Ninja Warrior? It is the craziest thing I ever saw but watching what the competitors have to do is totally INSANE!!

Valentines Day is coming!!! I am getting all warm and fuzzy! I really like Valentines day, maybe because my favorite color is pink. Or maybe it is the chocolate. I saw purple roses! I had never seen a purple rose before they are stunning. I have gotten sterling silver roses before (GASP) but they are totally expensive even for Valentines day roses..I just like unusually colored flowers too bad those are the pricey ones. I am also cooking dinner for Johnnie instead of going out. The restaurants get so crowded and the menu's are limited. I am not sure what I am going to fix yet. For me dessert is the best part anyway!

Last night we went out for sushi. We hadn't been in so long and it was sooooo good. Then we watched the worlds worst dragon movie courtesy of red box. Today Johnnie is painting the hallway!!!! I am so happy it is getting done I am so SICK of looking at the half painted walls that where coined Rhino butt gray. Really it was UGLY! So no more Rhino butt, when finished it will be a pretty creamy color. Really I thought I was living in the Gotham city prison, I was expecting Two Face and the Riddler to clue me in on an escape plan. Next weekend we will be attacking Aqua Man's grotto AKA our living room that was poorly sponge painted a pale green....blarg. Don't ask me why I compare everything to a comic book...I think my husband bit me and I contracted geek.

I am toying today with a painting, a painting with a person in it. Totally unlike me, I studied figure drawing blah blah blah but never got into it. I dunno now I am getting tempted. I just don't want it to be so horrible people tell me to NEVER do that again. I will take some reference photos and see what happens in the sketch. Cross your fingers folks.

Well Johnnie is cursing so I need to see what got paint on it...hopefully it is just him.

I have had the feeling like everything in my life needs to be spruced up, like getting a fresh coat of paint. Some literally like pretty much every surface in our house, some figuratively like me and the way I feel about certain things. I am not unhappy, just really restless. My new years revolutions are still in the works. I am plus one Z is for Zombie illustration. I want like a total overhaul. I need to get in shape, I am not terribly fond of my wardrobe and lately art just isn't what I want it to be. I sit here and stare at everything and go man what the hell do I do now? So I have resolved to do one thing at a time (instead of like 10) and applaud what I have done instead of fretting over what I need to do. I need to start saying NO to certain things and people. I think some of them pile on me just to see if I can pull it off and as entertaining as it is to turn myself inside out, I am not a contortionist..I wish I was, I am sure the pay is better.

I have long hated how drab and ugly our house looks. If you have been watching for a while we bought a home that the tenants trashed on the way out the door. I am talking filth, holes in walls and oh yeah the stash of heroin we found. I am an environmental creature. I need things to be a certain way or I go nuts. So I started to paint, ran out of time and then left a lot of things unresolved. Today I decided to pick up where I left off and finish SOMETHING. So todays goal is paint all of the doors in the bathroom, my weeks goal is paint all the doors on the 3rd floor. I hope to get all the doors painted by next week. At least that is something. Then it will be on to the half painted hall and living room.

Next week I am getting back into a fitness routine and organizing things better. I am just ready for a major change.

In other news I am not vending at Spoutwood fairy festival in PA, I did not pass the jury. I am not sure if I will be attending as it is a bit of a drive to just go and see and be seen. I am seriously hoping the rejection was because I wasn't what they are looking for and NOT because my website was down for the millionth time for 2 days. One I can accept but the other would piss me off royally.

I am working on my website when it is up and will be adding more products soon. I have a ton of cameo necklaces just sitting around that I need to add ribbon to and photograph. I will get them out eventually

It is so nice out today,just like spring so the windows are open and the fresh air is pouring in.

It is show season and that means I have to fork out show fees. This year is going to be considerably more expensive this year then any other before it. Also this year there are going to be some scheduling conflicts with shows. Some overlap and I am either going to have to pull out of some or send Johnnie to some. For example the MD Renn Faire runs the same weekend at Faeriecon. I will be attending Faeriecon and Johnnie will be at the faire. My second conflict so far is INATS West and the Western PA Fairy Festival. I personally will be attending INATS West, If Johnnie feels so inclined he will be attending the Fairy Festival. If not we will not be showing there this year. The juries aren't in yet but I am projecting the worst case scenario just in case.

My website has been in and out as my hosts are switching to a new server. My website it half done because unfortunately my admin has been in and out as well. I have a whole sale page which isn't completely finished. I will be adding the perfume oils to the site as I am able. It still has a lot of work to do. This weekend will be spent doing book keeping and more businessy stuff. I have a lot of obligations that I need to attend to as well.
