Chatbox

At PaperDemon there are three types of chatboxes. There is the main public chatbox in the members area, profile chatboxes, and group chatboxes. You can use the main chatbox by going to the Main Members Area or just using the one to the left.

AIM Chat Room

NOTE: this chat room is not moderated. We are not responsible for the behaviors of folks in this chat room.

Launch your AIM application or Trillian and click on the link below:

aim:GoChat?RoomName=PaperDemondotcom&Exchange=5

If that doesn't work you can join the room manually. In your AIM application find the button for joining a chat room and type in paperdemondotcom as the chat room name.

IRC Channel

To connect to the IRC channel you will need an IRC client application such as Trillian or mIRC.

Channel URL: irc://irc.freenode.net

#Channel Name: paperdemon

 

Connecting to IRC with Trillian

Simply clicking the link above will not launch Trillian's IRC application. You'll need to configure Trillian.

1. Go to Trillian > Connections > Manage my connections

2. Click on the Add a new connection button at the bottom of the dialogue box

3. Choose IRC from the pop up menu

4. Type in the settings in the table below

5. Click on Connect. Close this dialogue box. You are now connected to the IRC server but not yet to our channel.

6. To connect to our channel, click on the light blue circle icon in the main Trillian window and in the drop down menu choose Join a channel...

7. Type paperdemon and click OK
