Hello creative demons,
BogusRed here with a useful dose of creative information and inspiration to nourish your inner artist.
Motivation
The year is already ¼ of the way over. Are you working daily toward your goals of improving as an artist or writer? There's no time like the present. You can do anything you put your mind to. I'm currently working on establishing a routine of progressing on my creative goals a little bit each day which includes 10 minutes of learning and 20 minutes of creative work. A little progress each day adds up to big results.
Information
Here's some information to help you grow as an artist
- [Talks by professionals] The Game Developers Conference just took place a month ago and they've started posting their informative videos about video game development on their Youtube channel including a talk by Nintendo about Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That game is AMAZING by the way.

- [Tutorial] How to draw hands
Community
I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to a few of the new active members on PaperDemon. Please give them a warm welcome and throw them a few comments/favs.
- WanderingDecadence (also known as Dex) is an artist who describes themselves as a genderfluid eccentric eclectic goth. Check out their art gallery.
- Bastard Queen doesn't have much info on their profile yet but there's lots of very colorful artwork of theirs to see
- ItCanBeFunToRunAway has a super interesting username and some fun sketches where he explores what he wants to do next with his life.
- MaskedDragonNamedLin has been with PaperDemon for about 7 months but has been regularly active so I wanted to highlight them. Check out their dragon art and comics

Well I liked it, but you said nice things about me, so I'm hardly unbiased. 
(the tutorials look great - especially the hand one)
and how has it been nearly a month since I posted anything? - I'll go do something about that
and go check out WanderingDecadence, BastardQueen, and MaskedDragonNamedLin

The name?
"It can be fun to run away" is a line from the show Mr. Robot, though in that context it was a sort of melancholy comment by someone looking back at their childhood.
At the time I heard the line, I was in the process of packing up/giving away/selling everything I owned, so that I could go traveling with no fixed agenda or destination, and at times it felt like I was running away from my life.
That line reminded me that running away doesn't have to be a bad thing, and, like you've noticed, it makes a great username.
How about "BogusRed"?

Wow so you basically lived out of a backpack and traveled? Where did you go? That sounds really cool. What did you learn from the experience?
I chose the username BogusRed like in the late 90's. At the time Final Fantasy VII just came out and I really liked the character RedXIII. I was setting up a new account on AOL but "Red13" was taken. I had just seen a movie called "Bogus" so I went with "BogusRed13". Eventually I dropped the "13".
I'm super interested to learn about your adventures traveling.
