Yo! I need some people who know about snakes.

Corn snakes to be exact. I would like to know about how much the average corn snake would cost. Ya see, I'm on a budget and it can't be too expensive. I do not want to know breeder prices, just the average pet store prices. I've checked breeders and you pay out the wazoo for shipping, which I and my mother cannot afford. I would also like to know how long a corn snake can live in a ten gallon tank.

Any other information on the snake is greatly appreciated. Also, suggestions for other snakes/reptiles that you think would be good for a beginner are welcome. My biggest limiting factor is I cannot handle crickets. Any animal that has crickets as a major part of their diet is an instant no.

I posted this same topic on DA a while back and I had a few folks suggest green Anoles and skinks. They live around my house and I do not want one as a pet. Please don't suggest them. Thank you.
