well now I just had a far more eventful day then I thought >_< but before i go on with my little story, has anyone here had strange events happen at the most inopportune times while driving?
here is my reason for asking, just got my operators license yesterday ^_^ woot me! anywho, before that only had a learner's. so! today I was itchen to take the car for my very first time of driving alone on my own, no parents, no body to tell me what to do, what I’m doing wrong, where to go, anything! twas happy! only problem, no car...have to borough parents or grandparents. after about a half an hour of pushing and planning I convince grandma to let me borrow her van,
luxurious start eh? grandmama's mini van!
right i spose my first little screw up was the signal for karma to attack or something, but not even 500 ft from the house i kill that car... >_> I wanted to go down the excessively steep hill outside their house in neutral, twas already at 35 on a 25 and the gear missed neutral and slips into reverse....killed it...who-da-thunk..? Right, luckily I had pulled off to the side by mistake while freaking out and trying to get it into neutral before it died that and the road I was on was hardly ever traveled, so it was a pretty safe place to skew up >_>
Things just got worse from there, next obstacle, three stray dogs run out in front of me on a busy four lane road during rush hour! Not even three minutes from leaving the house I kill the car, then five minutes later dogs run out in front of me >_<
I shrug it off and decide to go to the creek and go for a walk, had nothing better to do, friends were either grounded, working, or too far away to go see. Next happy little encounter, I’m walking along the shore not paying attention when suddenly the same three dogs come running past me from behind, scare the livin daylights outta me, I loose my footing in the mud and go in butt first, cloths, shoes, keys, money and all. Luckily I was planning on doing that in the first place so it didn’t bug me, would have wished to get my shirt off first considering I had a swim suit on underneath, but hey, nothings perfect
Float around for a while and then drag myself out and walk back to the car, once again those blasted dogs come running! I swear they were omens that were sent to annoy me or something! They have no street smarts and at first glance I could have sworn they all three had death wishes >_<
On a good will whim I catch them all and put them in the back of the van, take them to the humane society, no problem right? Wrong, humane society is closed I come to find later on when I already get them all together in an enclosed car. Oh, and as an added bonus, they smell like creek and cow diarrhea, two males who aren’t neutered, one female who’s in heat! Dogs should not be able to do that while standing up in a moving car!!!
Now the fun part, I take the smelly nasty perves to the humane society to put in the outside kennels that are used for after hour drop offs, it’s a 105 degrees outside, and the kennels are on the west side, right in the sun! the dogs are already panting like crazy and the female look lethargic already.
Whelp one thing leads to another, I call the an after hours number to see if there’s anything they can do, they say they’ll send over an officer to find out and I agree, and hour later, they never show up, I’ve had the car running the whole time with air conditioning running and guess what…the car over heats and the gas gauge is broken…no idea how much gas I have…and…I’m now an hour late to get back across town and give back the BORROWED car. So, I get pissed and put each dog in a separate kennel with great difficulty, fill out an information form, and leave a note for the jackass that was supposed to meet me there and still hasn’t shown up after all this.
To top off this little adventure of mine, I have to drive with the heater going in a 105 degree weather, I get turned around after getting gas, end up in a turn only lane that is going in the completely wrong direction without realizing it, then get lost on my way back! All in all, I drove for my first time for four and a half hours >_<
AND A MOTH JUST FLEW DOWN MY SHIRT!!!! *dances around till it flies back out*
Right so anyone else with interesting stories?

Damn right I have a story! Ok, about 2 years ago, during December(not like that matters) I was with my church youth group and we were going to go ice skating. I was really excited because I had never gone before. After forever of waiting, turns out we don't get to go! So I was kinda pissed, but we found other things to do. We all decided to play hide and seek in the church, turning off all the lights for a special bonus ^_^. So I decided to hide up in the sound booth. I wasn't supposed to, but one of the leaders said it was ok even though it wasn't. I got there, and all the places are taken. So I noticed a door next to me and I walked in, only to find a wooden plank, and soft ground all around. Well I thought it would'nt be smart to hide in front of a door. So I went right next to where i was standing, good thing I did. After a few minutes, next thing I know WAM! I fall 12 feet through the roof! My shoulder also got pretty banged up by hitting a podium. I was on the floor, covered in sheet rock and insulator. It really hurt...really BAD!!! Nothing was broken, but I was in a lot of pain. I didn't have to go to the hospital, but I needed chiropractic care afterwards. So that's my story ^_^Last edited by Keenarnor on Jul 15, 2006 3:05 am. Total edits: 1.
"...Then he used his fight money to buy two of every animal and put them on a boat and beat the crap out of them! And from that point forward any time a bunch of animals were together it's called a 'Zoo'!"
