Feeling worthless.....

Ok, my first forum thing. Did I spell the topic right? Any way, I've just been feeling so depressed lately. Mostly because of what happened to me at the mall.

It rolls out like this: I was sitting on one of the tables and drawing, waiting for my friend, these three girls walk up to me. Each one of them are preppy cheerleaders, if thats what you want to call them. I have nothing against girls like them, but I think they had something against me because I wear all black and I guess in their minds that's not right for a girl to wear that color. And I'm drawing one of my monster pics ( I love drawing monsters) one girl grabs my picture and says it sucks. First I just laugh, because, hey I don't even know her...should I care what she thinks? But she got worse. She said that it is sick that I wear black and draw monsters. They told me its not right, and I look gay.

My feelings were hurt. But one girl grabbed my cross neckless. Now this is the neckless I got right after my dad died...it has his ashes in it, she said goths don't wear crosses, for they are satan worshipers. I am NOT a satan worshiper. I'm a christain. I told her to back off but I think she took that as a sign to torture me more. They called me names and threated me. This normally doesn't happen to me, I have a lot of friends. Well, they left, and upon leaving one girl through my drawing back at me in two pieces and called me loser. I've just been going through a state of saddness lately, I feel outcasted. When my dad died I felt like my whole family betrayed me...they pulled the life support, and it was there idea. I guess it WAS the right thing to do because he was in a coma and there was nothing we could do to wake him up...but I didn't even get a say in it. And now, I just feel so down...

I miss my dad so much, but theres nothing I can do to bring him back...

And the thing at the mall really got me down and know I feel like I don't belong anywhere...I don't know why people have to jugde you at first sight...

They judge me before they get to know me...

(sigh) This is my first forum, so I'm kinda happy about that. But I don't know....

Awwww Ok first off, everyone has a run in with those f-ing cheerleader bitches so you're not alone. I just ignore them completely, if they come up and harass me, I take action! I tell them to stop and I make hell break loose around them so they know I mean business. Also, the colors of your clothes don't make you a certain something. Just because some girls wear black doesn't mean they are goth, and just because some guys wear pink doesn't make them gay. They are just colors, they don't mean anything. Same thing with what you draw. I draw evil boxer shorts, but that doesn't make me some loser or underpants lover or anything. It's just what I like to draw. If they said that goths don't wear crosses, then that means you aren't a goth so they are either stupid, or don't know what they are talking about. As to why they judged you...I don't know. Most likely it was because you aren't just like them, or a perfect being created by society. They are all the same, if they harass you then completely ignore them or just walk away....or bring a shotgun with you next time and don't think you don't belong anywhere. You belong here(or anywhere else) where ppl love you for who you are. I'm a good example of that

Oh boy, in a word, that sucks.  I am so sorry that you had to go through all of the, from your dad dying to those ridiculous girls.  I have no idea why girls feel the need to be catty and vicious towards each other.  It seems like with boys, they get whatever is on their chest off and they move on.

What happened to you was harassment, abuse, and just plain unnecessary.  I have no idea what makes people feel like they need to be cruel like that.  When people do that, they are trying to make up for their own weaknesses and their own pain.  It has nothing to do with you, you were just the scape goat.  Who knows why they targeted you, probably because you are different from them (which is definately a good thing) it's very similar to racism. They picked out someone that was different from them like one race picking on another.  For some, difference breeds fear and anger. 

I am really upset that you had to go through this.  There's no excuse to treat other people like that and it sounds as if you are already dealing with a lot.  I just want to stress, that what those girls did only reflected back on them, it had nothing to do with you.  There is nothing wrong with you at all.  There is nothing wrong with being different, drawing monsters, or wearing black.  Those chicks didn't have a clue what they were talking about at all.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.  That must have been one of the hardest things to go through.  I can't even imagine what that would have been like for you and how it still must make you feel.  I've been through a lot of death in my life, so please PM me if you need a shoulder to cry on.  I'm here for you!  Please let me know if there's anything I can do and please try not to worry about those little girls.  That's all they are, little girls with nothing better to do than make others feel bad about themselves.  That's a pretty sad existence, don't you think?

That's just horrible what happened to you ;3; People like that, I admit, are very hard to ignore. But they're just losers an immature, picking on people like they're dumb bum grade schooler little kids. It happens sometimes, that case sounds just really mean and bad ;.; But just like everyone here is saying, were here for ya :3 Just don't let those people get to you. They're big nobodies. you were good for not harrassing them back :3 You're a good person just remember that :3

That's just mean, cruel, and plain out harsh. I mean there was no reason for them to do that. I'm so sorry you had to go through something like that. And for them to criticize the necklace that had your dad's ashes in it is just... MAN!! That just ticks me off right there! I know girls who act that way and really they're just trash and they don't deserve to be alive. All they know is what time cheer practice is and how much make up to layer their face with. They have know clue what they're saying. They think they're better than everyone else when really they're no better than chewed up gum on the sidewalk.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad too   This ordeal and your dad passing away must not be helping you much. But don't worry your here with people who care alot about you so you know where to find us when you need to vent and let it all out.

Some people can be really mean and harass you just for their fun but that only shows how worthless and dumb they are. I know it's hard to ignore sometimes, but try not to take it to heart. You are better than them because you don't act the same way.

You really need to start by looking at why they said it. They are the type to put someone down cause it makes them look beter cause the group of them all thought what you were doing was bad. There's not alot I can suggest for this, cause if you fight back, it'll only fuel them- unless you can embaress them straight off, and if you walk away, they still win.

Tell them that atleast you don't have something to prove, unlike them. They'll either get all flustered and leave, or I guess be fueled by it. Depends on how confident you sound. Don't swear at them- never lower yourself. Berate them with truth. They gang together to make them feel worth more, they dress in tight clothing to feel wanted, and they laugh at others to feel superiour. THEY are the freak show.

Any further than that, then all you can do is hire a hit man to knock some 'goth sence' into them *rolls eyes* Give them a reality check. They're obviously filled with air in their head...

Oh hunny Im so sorry that this happened to you. You dont need that from them or anyone else.  But in the end it happened, and there is no longer anything to do about it.  Its alright though, these kind of people you encounter all throughout your life.  You have to remember though, dont group them in with all the 'cheerleader-types'. Although they have a very bad image amongst us who are different from them, they arent all bad. I've met many good ones.

But there are bad people of every type and every race and gender who will come around to put you down. Of course it hurts, no human is immune to the pain their words bring. But you have to remember that these same people are the people who have this need to show the world how perfect they are, because they arent.  They know it, and by now Im sure we all know it.  So they come to others and bring them down, that way they look better in comparison. They pull you down low, so where they stay is nearest the level of perfection they want the world to see them in.

I, personally, feel that everyone seeks perfection, but everyone has a different level and way of which they see this perfection. Different standards. It's our own personal perfection we seek.  So we all strive to reach this vision of perfection that we set for ourselves, some more eager than others, some higher than others. Different methods are used to reach this, whether it be just going about it inside yourself, or by making sure that others who are not like you feel as low as low can be.

They Fear that which is different, and thus, they want to push it down as far as they can so that their own view of perfection looks like they are just that much closer to reaching it. Dont bother yourself with those who have trouble reaching their own happiness in this quest we all live through.  They arent to be bothered with.

If this ever happens again, which I am hoping beyond hope wont, well I completely agree with what Arkillian said.

Please don’t let yourself feel bad any longer over this incident.  If anything you should be feeling angry; I am angry beyond words! You have to realize that in this world exists a sub-class of human beings traditionally classified as MORONS, whose Motes Operandi consists of making themselves feel better about their insignificant and pathetic existences by tearing down the self-worth of other people.  Decent people cannot fathom why these individuals do the evil things they do simply because decent people possess EMPATHY and a CONSCIENCE, which are two elements the morons are missing from their genetic makeup.  In short, their brains are broken, and as a consequence they are evil.

Do not feel as though there is something wrong with you simply because they do not accept you and treated you like this.  Just as emmet849 said, what they did is a reflection on THEM, and what horrible people they are...it has nothing to do with you.  I have a feeling they would have targeted you, or someone else, regardless of how you looked or what you were doing.  They were looking for a target, and would have found SOMETHING they deemed ‘wrong’ with you in order to exploit it and make themselves feel good.  You should not put any credence into people that judge you at first site before they get to know you, because you should not care about the opinions of those types of people in the first place.  Remember that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I am also very, very sorry to hear about your dad.  I cannot pretend to know exactly how you feel; I do not know what I would do if I were to loose my dad.  I lost my grandfather last year, and that was painful enough as it is.  Just don’t let the incredibly disgraceful actions of these three girls keep you down; do not let them hold any more power over you as they are not worth the dust on the ground beneath where you stand.  Keep moving on, and chin up!

 

Everybody already said what i had in mind, so i wont repeat. But, screw them. They're the poor ones in all this (the cheerleaders), not you. Cheer up, you are not defined but their eyes, you define yourself.

Hmmpf. I feel sorry for ya. When I was a chikd before a was a teenager I got picked up but not just called a loser and shredding my drawing. They waite me to go outside and started trowning rocks and stuff at me. And what happend they came on my hate people list. Now I'm Too big and too tall and tooo string so they dont even try to say somethin. After I almost killed the worst one of them I got more hated and went to another school. Now everything is fine. What I am saying is that there are people who have it worse than you and it always turns out how it belongs. God will punish those cheerleaders.
