Where Have All The People Gone??

 Man, a while back at the bottom of the web page, it used to tell me how many people were on, and who they were. Now, it just tell's me the number of members and visitors. Is thtis happening to everyboy or just me?

yeah the list of online members sometimes gets so long it breaks the page design so I had to move the list to a separate page.

yeah, but it was much easier to just scroll down and see the people without haveing to click a link the go back. In any case, it doesn't matter.

yeah i've thought about a pop up. I'd like to know what other people's thoughts are. I kind of hate having to wait for a whole new page to load to see who's online.

ME! It seems a waste to have to click and then back it up again. Firefox is good for tabs, but those poor people with IE or worse....

Its good the way it is.  Some poeple may have a popup Blocker like me.

I`m the poor man who has IE... What`s so bad about IE?Is Firefox better? Sorry,I`m not educated in PCs and stuff...

I`ve found out the thing with the names by myself! I feel so smart right now! Anywayz,I liked it better when it showed names too,Greed... And I think a pop-up would be much better. And the poor IE can allow some pop-ups on the sites you want too. It`s up to you Susie.

BR optimised this site for Firefox. Not many sites have problems with it nowdays at all. You'll always have IE as a back up- I do ^^

Firefox is better for several reasons. One, it's safer for you to use because IE has a lot of vulnerabilities that websites pray on. Sometimes you'll visit a website and websites will inject spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. into your computer. Firefox has its vulnerabilities too but the developers of Firefox fix the vulnerabilities as soon as they are discovered. Microsoft takes years before they even start to think about fixing security holes in Internet Explorer. So for that reason, Firefox is safer than Internet Explorer.

Firefox is also better because it complies more to W3 standards. This might mean absolutely nothing to you, but to a website developer like myself, it means everything. W3 is the organization that defines what the standards are for HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. And Internet Explorer doesn't conform to a lot of standards. It's quite buggy when it tries to display certain CSS effects. Internet Explorer also doesn't support the alpha channel in PNG's. If everyone on the web were using a more standard compliant web browser such as Firefox and Opera, web developers could do a lot fancier things with their web site designs. Y-gallery is a site that uses PNGs with alpha and they put a big notice on their site if you visit the site with IE and it will ask you to download Firefox because the site looks better in Firefox. But most developers try to make their site look good in all browsers to make their site more accessible.

As a web developer when I'm working on designing a web page, i have to test it in both Firefox and Internet explorer and write CSS specifically for those with IE to find a way around the bugs IE has with displaying certain CSS definitions. It's very frustrating to have to work around IE's bugs all the time.

Another reason Firefox is better is because it has a lot of nifty features to it. It's skinable for one thing so you can download tons of skins to make it look the way you want it to look. There are also lots of plugins and widgets you can install. Such as an advertisement blocker.

It's also nicer because it has tabs. Oh and it also blocks popups.

Here's some interesting statistics about the visitors at PaperDemon.com. roughly 85% are using IE, and 13% are using Firefox. The rest are using other browsers.
