I thought of another thing that it could be. It could be your user account settings in Windows. If your brother is the one who set up your Windows XP profile, he may have set it so that you can't install programs. He'll have to give you wider access privilages. Whoever is set as the Administrator on your computer can give you that sort of access. I'm just asuming that person is your brother.

No my brother doesn't live with me. i'm the only one who uses my computer. The guy that came over and installed my internet set everything up for me. Maybe I should call them...

If you are the one that owns the computer, you should be set up as an administrator then. So you should have sufficient access privilages. it must be something else. Did you purchase a support or warranty plan with your computer? Is there a free tech support line you could call?

It could also be a virus or spyware. My bro has a virus or some spyware, or whatever bad thing it is on his computer, which prevents him from veiwing webpages conveniently. I used to have a virus that did'nt even let me go anywhere online at aaaaaalll. Then I scanned my computer with norton antivirus, and it caught and deleted the evil virus :3 Viruses and spyware can do all sorts of bad stuff, so there might be one preventing you from downloading things on your computer entirely. I'm not sure if it is, but it's a possibility. If you have a virus and spyware scanner, scan your computer now with both of the scanners and it might fix the problem :3 I can't think of anything else ^^;

This is a possiblity. If so, I suggest AVG- it's free, and it's really good. My brother knows all the good programms and hightly recommends it. It wont delete it for you, bt once you find it and name it, you search the web for a cure and get rid of it [emoticon]
