they changed the story but in history Persians attempted to couquer Greece. 5000+ Soldiors defend on a pass against over 2,000,000 Persians. While Greek lost over 2000 of there men the Persians lost 20.000 -50,000. The persian were about to give up when a traitor told of a pass around the Greeks. The King of the Spartans told the greek soilders to retreat for now the battle was lost. The king stood his ground with 300 Spartans his body guards and 700 Thespians who would not let the Spartans die Alone. Battle Raged when Spears broke they fought with Swords, When Swords broke they fought with Hand, tooth and nails. This gave the greek enough time to retreat in safety.

saw it LOVED IT! (and I'm a girly girl) not for the weak hearted and squeamish ^^ It was HAWT! With the fighting and the blood and the leather jock straps. What more can a girl ask for...although the sex was kinda random but still yummy

I saw it, too. they wouldn't let me in, so I paid some guy to buy me a ticket, lol. It was the best movie I've ever seen. Xerxes looked like a fairy, though.

Its probably my #1 favorite movie of all time. Anything and everything about was good. The awesome storyline, the visuals, the combat, and that sort of frank miller sci fi feel it had at certain points.

i am SO DAMN addicted to that movie. i can´t stop draw fanart. LOL
iit was the best movie since a long time, not only because of all that delicious manflesh - the setttings, the composition, the music - all fits together perfectly and did frank millers comic justice.
i went into the movie with the thought "a movie made from a graphic novel" and I got well served with it. i don´t know how much historical accuracy was put into the clothing details, -i´m not a nitpicker if it isn´t historical correct - so i enjoyed the movie.
i even painted king leonidas as a mural on our housewall - you can see it here:

and yeah, very very well done from the artistic side.
