First many thanks to everyone for their comments on:

 thumb

The author of the books (Lynn Flewelling) liked it and asked me to send her a print.

OMFG YAY OF COURSE!

I'm so over the moon, it's thrilling and humbling to have a best-selling author specifically ask you to send her your FANART of her characters.

So I sent off a nice matted copy (It's a very good thing I have my own little mini-print store in my office at home.)

From the Digital Laser Jet  to the laminator. And I always keep pre-cut 14x16 mats laying around. So was able to put together a nice presentation and pop it off in the post.

(BTW FYI... in the USA the biggest paddest envelope they make is 14.25 x 19.25 inches... you can *JUST squeeze a 14x16 mat frame in them but it is a MEGA TIGHT SQUEEZE!) [emoticon]

I'm still floating on cloud nine here. Like the old Life ceral commercials...

Hey Mikey! She likes it! She Likes it!

^_^

just had to share my "yippee!!!" mood with everyone.

YIPPEEEEEE! [emoticon]

Wow that's cool! How did the author know you made a fanart of her characters? Did you email her a copy of the artwork?

That's awesome.

She also has a livejournal. (She likes to stay in touch with her fanbase.) So I posted a copy of the web image for her to see. Her response floored me. I felt really honored and totally didn't expect her to e-mail me her address, O_o

Be glad I'm not the stalker type, she dosen't live all that far from me. A two or drive tops. LOL

it's would have been 15 minutes away from where I USED to live.

Can we say Dana at her door?

Are you Done with Book 4 of the NR series yet? Huh? HUH!? ARE YA!

Can I read the notes? Be your copy girl? Shine your shoes?

LOL

She's very nice and she writes such *RICH* characters.

I really recommend her books to everyone who likes fabulous characters and development. She's my favorite author.

^_^

No not a commission -- I did it as fanart (For Y-con art show)
But since I was doing her characters anyway I showed her. (Since she's like one of the few best selling authors that actually interacts with her fanbase regularly.)

She just like it enough to ask for a hardcopy that's like an honor and a half for me. (I'm such a fangirl)

O_o
