Metal/Hard Rock anyone?

I was bored so I decided to start my 1st topic here at PD!!! I'm a metal head. So i was wondering if anyone else like this type of music too. You can list you favorite bands in the genre and thier songs if you want. You can post bands in the Rock genre also. I just prefer metal so thats what im going to list. I list some of my favorite bands and somw songs. Here they are:
SOAD, Metallica(before they sold out), Pantera, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Underminded, Lamb of God, Iced Earth, Powerman 5000, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, MegaDeth, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Dio, Iron Maiden, Hatebreed(only like 2 of their songs), ZAO, Mortal Treason, Underoath, Dethklok, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, and much more. The Rock bands i like are:
Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Shinedown, The Pillows, and others i'm sure but i can't remember right off the top of my head.

I don't have a particular band I like I have a few metal songs I like though. Let's see
Slaughter of the Soul by At the Gates
Some CKY songs here and there
The light that blinds by Shadows fall (I think)

I own a few metal albumns, but it's like art for me- I have no particular taste in music. It's how it makes me feel at the time which makes me enjoy it. It's why I can jump from something as light as Justin Timberlake (Only ONE song- Sexy back. The only song of goodness), to something more rocky like Meatloaf, then something faster like Underworld, and then finish on good old NZ hip hop like Salmonella Dub. I've got broad tastes

The bands I like are:
Slayer
Old Metallica
Pantera
Rammstein
Opeth
Nightwish
And some Swedish death metal. I'm more of a Classical buff than a heavy metal buff.
But if anyone's heard the new album by Slayer, "Christ Illusion," I'd like to know if it's any good, because their last few albums have changed to a more punk-rock sound and I prefer the Slayer of the 80s and early 90s.

I consider Nu metal to be metal. Here is a list of the metal genres and their sub-genres. It was done by a guy named Sam Dunn. Its very accurate in how it categorizes the bands into the different genres. There is only one new genre he added to the list and I consider that a real genre. SOAD, Slipknot, Metallica, Lofofora (french destroy group, awesome), Grim Skunk (another french group, but sing in 4 languages), Silver chair, Limp Biskit, Guns and roses....

But didn't have the time to listen to it yet....
I also like Disturbed, Metallica, My Dying Bride, Sentenced, SOAD, Nightwish, Virgin Steele, Subway to Sally, In Extremo, Rammstein...and some others.
Buut I also like "softer" music like Muse, HIM, Negative....
