hmm, all i can think about is (and i don't know enough about html to make fancy links here, so scr*w you. Also, google is quite good at finding these sites)
Penny Arcade - two guys ranting about videogames and all related to them. comic includes violence, blood, gore and curse words among other things, so it's suitable to all ages
(JK intended) *www.penny-arcade.com*
Misfile - because a misfile, a dude turns into a chick and ALOT of ankward, funny and somewhat perverted situations arises in the life of Ash *www.misfile.com*
8-bit Theatre - the epic journey of Black Mage and Fighter and their merry band, as they're bound to save (read: destroy) the world *www.nuklearpower.com*
It doesn't matter how lenghty or unleghty i'll go with my explanations, everyone should just go take a peek at theese masterpieces and judge by themselfs if they like or dislike them.
Where I am bound, time is not measured in years. And the crimes I have committed are stronger than any cage...

UPDATE:
F@NBOY$ - It is easily one of the best and funniest web comics I have seen in a long time. (Imagine this... an online artist who actually makes his deadlines.) Anyway, its about a couple of fanboys and a fangirl. The two guys are big Sony/ Nintendo fans, and the girl is an XBox fan and they all live together. This creates some rather dramatic tension that makes this comic so über.
(It also makes fun of Jack Thompson, which I absolutely love.)

Toast!
http://toast.alienpigpen.com/
One of my favorites at the moment, Toast! is about a boy who gets kidnapped by a vampire. It's still fairly new, but it's a great, hilarious read, and the characters and style are very unique.
Undertow
http://undertow.dreamshards.org/
Another one of my favorites, the artist of this also does the comic "Poultry Arisen," though it's on hiatus. The art is stunning on every page, and the story is interesting to follow.
Action
http://action.smackjeeves.com/
I just found this last week, but it's one of those comics that makes you go
' ... Seriously. There are no words anywhere in the comic, and every page is just one action shot after another. It really makes it feel like you're in a never-ending horror movie.
Bug Report
http://www.bugreportonline.com/
This one's more like a comic strip than the others. The characters are adorable.
Arcana
http://arcana.comicgenesis.com/
This comic is never to be updated again -- but even still, it has a lot of fans. The creator was kind enough to leave us a written version of the rest of the story, so even though we were all disappointed that there would be no more pretty pictures, we at least have a resolution. Modern fantasy shounen-ai, about vampires and harpies and humans! (oh my.)
Wicked Alchemy
http://wa.mutedfaith.com
I had to throw my own in here. >_> I'm once more updating after a long hiatus, hopefully weekly as school/work/family permits. This is more about a world than any individual character; at the moment it's following the story of Garrett, an assassin in the 21st century who's back after 200 years of misery and trying to keep himself out of hell.
[edit] I gave up on making the tags pretty. ~.~
[editedit] I think I figured it out!

This one is about a girl and her two sisters making fun of eveyerything pop culture (and each other) while throwing in some good clean bloody violence XD The art is really well done and it's just so hard not to fall in love with it.
Yes we can!
I don't know about you but I want a change.

I can't believe how much you all just failed. You listed Megatokyo without Applegeeks!?
Seriously, of all that I've seen Megatokyo and Applegeeks are the only two worth reading.

I'm surprised no one has put these two up yet. They're, like...huge...aren't they? xD
The only webcomic I've ever seen finished. (Now, I read almost nothing in the way of webcomics, so it doesn't say a lot, but still.) A fantasy/adventure/drama sort of story about a young da'kor who falls in love with an elf girl and goes to look for her long-lost friend/love, who was kidnapped by a dark mage when they were little kids. Beautiful drawings with a very distinctive style, very well-played-out story.
A new webcomic by the same artist. It hasn't actually started yet and I'm not actually sure what it's about, xD, but the previews I've seen so far have me interested.

Dresden Codak One of my favorites. Science, philosophy, robots, dinosaurs, and tiny dream analysts. Awesome art style, too.
Crimson Dark Beautiful CGI comic set in an interstellar war in the 27th century. Focuses on a group of space privateers.
Gone With the Blastwave No longer updating, but still has an amazing painted style. Some incompetant soldiers fighting in a post-apocalyptic war.
leveL Cyberpunk goodness with some amazing detail, although the first few chapters are a bit shaky. Cael Dalton is a quiet medicated teen who lives in the sprawling megacity of Level, and is haunted by a recurring dream, and occasionally shoots blue glowing jelly stuff out of his hands.
Comedity Also has an awesome art. And penguins. And multiple personalities. And radioactive hair.
Captain Occam The adventures of Captain Occam and company, evolutionists fighting the forces of Rev. Kent Hovind. (Hope you like reading
)
Copper A boy and his dog...who seem to have a habit of nonchalantly stumbling upon alternate dimensions. Also has great art.
Hope my links work...

Nobody has mention www.drowtales.com ?
I just started reading thier manga, since I want to enter their manga contest which has just opened.
The manga itself is about elves that had to escape from a big war on the surface of the earth into the underworld, where they got mutated and whatnot and.. yeah. Go read it, it's really interesting! Though, the first chapter might look a bit...noobish to some, but that's because it was created maaany years ago - they're currently re-making the whole thing.

Hero is my favorite webcomic ever.
This site has an interesting comic called White Noise I've been reading.
Cascadia has always been one of my favorites.
World Break just started, but promises to be interesting.

hm.... I don't think that many of you can read german?
Because..my other Comics are all in German (Or...most parts of it....)
and my absolutely favorits like kouris "All about us"Summer and the winter comic (a sojo-ai story) and chosens "Malédiction" and "Malédiction-ZWO" are in german...(Oh How I love Malédiction it's so funny and interesting *wabbel*)
So, I don't think you're interested in german comics/mangas
If you are, you can find chosens and kouris mangas on animexx.de
