Isn't there already a feature that "hides" your art before you post it? Where you un-check those boxes that allows it to appear on the front page and such, and it's only viewable from direct-linking? Is that what you meant, arkillian, or did you mean something like the unpublished stories?

I don't think its fair to allow some pre-pub shota and not allow others. Some may say we're playing favorites. If you have questions about whether your artwork is acceptable, you can email me the question and reply with an attachment of your artwork and I can review it before its posted to the site. We don't have infrastructure inplace to do what you're suggesting Arkillian [smiley]

There's is that feature, but it wasn't what my thought was. BR got it right- essentially it hides it yes, but sends a link to the mods, and if the mods approve it, it gets an apprved stamp to say its allowed. She's right though- it is favouritism. It's not nice to have your art scrutinised. Specially for content like shota. You'd feel really bad if it was declined [smiley] It was an extra thought cause if Nekoyoujo is right and people DO want to post pre-pube shota, then there could be other options. See- I'm not siding for it, but I'm not against it fully. Some shota is ok. I'd rather not see it given the choice cause most is bad.

Goodness, it seems like every site I'm on is going through a pedoriffic debate right now. Kudos on laying down guidelines better than LJ, Bogusred. Not sure on how I feel about other things being bandied around this topic yet, but I dig the new rules.

But I do have to ask, and will understand completely if you count it alongside the zombies, what about WoW fanart involving the Undead race? The biggest reason I ask is because some of the most beautiful WoW fanart I've seen has involved them. And as I stated before, I, personally, don't count them in with Zombies. So clarification there would be good...at least fort hose who view it as I do.

And...you're welcome for having this brought up. I could just envision people either A: reporting everything involving the 'undead' because they don't approve and take the 'no necro' to mean that anything 'undead' counts. Or B: people posting art of zombies, or waht not and claiming that it's not TECHNICALLY necro, as thier definition is the unmoving corpse, and zombies, Undead race, vampires, etc are NOT unmoving corpses. And that would just generate the kind of Drama I'm hanging out HERE to avoid. ^-~ Once my circles over on DA calm down, I'll happily move to frequenting both. ^-^

All but one of those links are from the official WoW website. I'll admit that in a lot of ways they are physically close to zombies, however I also see a lot of differences, but it the end it's your call, hun. ^-^ And as I've said before, if you don't want to allow it, I've other places to post it, and I'm sure that more people can find other places, too. ^-^

Ok so I would say it definately depends. Some of those characters I think are fine but others are not. I would say if its an undead creature that has certain zombie characteristics such as rotting flesh, exposed innards, or exposed bones then it should not be allowed. But if all the character is is pale colored skin with glowing eyes, thats totally fine.

*nods* OK. So it would basically depend on how you chose to draw them. TECHNICALLY they all have the exposed bones at the elbos and kness, some have parts of thier faces missing as well, but not everyone choses to draw them that way. I'd say that adding the exposed bones and innards, as well as the rotting flesh to the no-no list is the probably the best way to go...makes THAT end of things, at least, really clear.

Well, I'm glad Ive been able to help with this stuff, at least a little. I'll keep my more 'authenticly' drawn stuff on other sites so far as the Undead go...and the more artistic, no 'inside bits' showing for here, then.

I think you do a great job handling this. It is true that it can be hard to decide about this since anime/manga-style drawing are... complicated in a way o_O.

Many anime/manga characters are actually minor such as Inoue from Bleach (15 year-old), but there are still some pictures of her in dA that shows her exposed breast or genitals, which, supposely, should be remove. This create a lot of commotion between the people over there because some are removed while some others aren't, resulting into complaints.

In my opinion, the way you did your rules are a lot more efficent and better than dA *nods*.

This is a GREAT way to handle things. I think DA's rules about not aging up a character is ridiculous because in most mangas the characters are already shown nude in at least of of the chapters anyways. Like one of the other members said, if they're old enough to legally have sex, then they're old enough to be drawn in a sexual situation. Thank you for a really good decision =D

I fell I have to mention this even if its just to say it but If you look at life No one is the same shape, I know a girl thats one year younger than me but she looks and acts liek a 3 yr old because of a deterating birth defect that targets the groth hormone.

She isnt a moinor and she has reminded me taat Pedo (short for pedofile) is one of them "4 letter words" because I belive hideing the facts of "the birds and te bees" form our children is only endangering them. I think some of the laws here in life go too far and ones of an art page should not dare.

someone once told me, "Life is a canvis, and nature os the untimat artist!" I belive them. Life is the first and foremost strangest thing we could ever know and most people think of it as something so minor.
