I'm trying to post my work for the first time and I went to view my submission before I published it and it has the commands listed (like where the spaces are).  I uploaded it as an HTML (I did the browse option).  Am I only seeing this because it's not yet published or did I do something wrong when I went from my .doc to saving as an html on my computer?

Hi DragonAce. I just went and looked at your unpublished writing submission and saw codes that looked like:

<![if !supportEmptyParas]> <![endif]>

This is not HTML code which is why it is displaying. Unfortunately, when you publish this submission this text will also appear in the published version. There is not much difference between published and unpublished mode.

Try submitting the file as a Word document instead and see if that helps. Or you can just edit the chapter and remove those strange codes.

thank you very much.  My guess is it's something to do with the fact that the base Microsoft Word Program was moved from my windows 98 desk top to my lap top with some of it's pieces missing.  IT was all I could do to save myself from MSworks *shudders*  I'll just edit it in the text box and I'm glad to know the viewing is the published look
