This game has high accolades and just gets better as you play!  Additional adventures are being planned and I can't wait to check it out!

To give you a  rough overview.  You play a Witcher named Geralt.  He's lost his memory after a vicious battle.  Just as he starts to settle in with his companions they are attacked by a mysterious Mage and his goons.  He soon realizes to find out who and why he must venture out on his own as well as put the pieces of his past life together.

The game is rated 'M' and for good reason.  There are numerous cases of the 'F' bomb and the 'C' word even makes a cameo. There's your run of the mill violence, bloody sword fights, etc. You can even get smashed drunk with your friends and take part in fist fights for gold or items. Not to mention Geralt likes the ladies.  A lot.  SO much so that NPC's start muttering 'Hide your women' when he passes! [emoticon]  Some of the make out scenes are pretty raunchy.

Game play is very interactive.  Your conversations with townsfolk actually are helpful in some situations. Their topics change as the story progresses.  NPC's bitch about the weather, rant about politics, flirt with you and even insult you if they're snotty enough. One of the coolest things is that your choices can greatly affect outcomes.  In one instance I got some poor schmuck killed by.  You can even piss off your lady friend(s) and get the cold shoulder.

I'll leave the juicy bits to be discovered.  It really is a fun game!  www.thewitcher.com

I haven't really gotten to far into the game; but I really enjoy playing it.  I started reading the english adaptation of the first novel..or rather collection of short stories called Last Wish.  I hope they bring the rest of his books over here.  But anyway I love the gritty feel of the game's world and the fact that they didn't Politically Correctifiy it...wait..is correctify even a word...no I don't think it is XD.

I only got as far as getting drunk and fighting off the demon weeds in the guy's yard at night. God that was a hard fight with the barely vision. Lol. But that's what happens when you drink that much XD.

I'm closing in on the end of this great game. [emoticon]

I thuroughly enjoyed Geralt and the world of Timeria (sp?)  I never get tired of his finishing moves.  In one instance he grabs the blade of his sword and uses the sharp hilt to stab his opponent in the neck...then uses his foot to jerk it out - blood and everything!!  Another involves stunning my opponent with magic, spinning them around and slitting their throat.  And lastly Geralt leaps high in the hair to drive his sword down through his opponents neck and down in tot the torso and jerks the blade out arching blood all over the place.  Vicious.

I will miss his dry humor as well.  I would hope for a sequel - the creators of this game are evil geniuses.

Potentional Spoiler -

Geralt makes cyptic question about becomming fertile again.  I was totally floored by that.  I wonder if he will get his wish?
