All right.... I've been making my rounds trying to find Writing and Art to crit. My preference is Original Fiction.

I've noticed an interesting trend.  Many authors in the Writing section are placing Fan Fics based on a pre-existing universes in Original Fiction gallery.  What gives.  Original Fiction implies that the submission is ALL original.  If you are using someone elses universe [ Alternate Universe] doesn't it become a fan fic?!

Perhaps Bogus or a Mod could clear this up for me.  Thanks  [emoticon]

Yes you are correct. Writing submissions using characters or universes belonging to others should place their stories in a Fanfiction library, not the Original Fiction library. I try to go through all of the writing submissions to look for errors like this but right now the queue of unreviewed writing submissions is at 362.

But for those of you that are reading this and have placed a fanfic in the original library, please go back and fix your submissions. It will save the moderators some time.

If you come across an entry that is misplaced, just click the Report to Moderators button and just let us know that its a fanfic in the original library and we'll move it on over.
