Just something random to talk about - and it is music-related. Here we can discuss what kind of Mp3 players we have, what kind we want, the best ones to buy, and maybe we can help you solve some problems you may be having with yours. :3

I have a 1-gig mp3 player from Sylvania. It's green. [emoticon] But it's kind of crappy. And weird. My computer won't pick it up when I plug it in (which may be because my computer's so old), and when I add new files, the player lists them in the order they've been put on, and not the order I arrange them in. [emoticon] Is that normal?

on my computer i use iTunes to play my music. I used to be a hard core Winamp fan but then when I started using iTunes I loved it.

My mobile mp3 player is an iPod. A very old one that holds 20 GB and it JUST got filled up the other day. I had to take some stuff off of it to put my new music on it.

Even though I'm an iPod and iTunes person, I'm not a mac person. I'm a Windows person. I remember I met this one guy that was a computer geek and he saw my iPod and he said to me, "oh... you must be a mac person." I'm also a professional graphic designer and it seems that most designers are mac peeps. Almost everyone in the user interface department at my company uses macs. But I'm Windows all the way. Weird.

I use a 20gb Toshiba Gigabeat and I prefer it far more than my iPod it's alot easier to use and it's more customizable. I use Gigabeat Room too over iTunes it's just easier for me to navigate around ( I sound like a commercial XD ) but my MP3 is like 3 years old and is gonna die pretty soon which makes me very sad [emoticon] I don't go anywhere without that thing in my poket I swear. I'll have to use my iPod after that :[ the only thing I really like about it is that it's 80 gigs. I'm gonna miss my Gigabeat [emoticon] 's it. The Gigabeat isn't it purty [emoticon] I [emoticon] it!

Wow, I feel all ghetto now. [emoticon] 20 gigs, 80 gigs! My god! [emoticon] I get ONE. I thought that was kind of cool. [emoticon] Oh well, it's all I really need. I'd like one of those nicer mp3 players and all, but it's not in the budget. At all.

I don't like iPods. They're ugly, and I can't navigate them at all. [emoticon] A friend of mine has one. Hers has games, and she tried to show me how to navigate it. I couldn't. Le sigh.

As far as Mac v. Windows, I guess they both have their highs and lows. I haven't used a Mac in ages, so I don't know how far they've come in terms of like, computers and stuff. [emoticon] The last time I saw a Mac was in the 1990s. My mom had one. I loved it. But I like Windows, too.

Hm. [emoticon]

I  have a minidisc player. It's fun and vaguely retro (if I'm allowed to call anything that's a third of my age 'retro'), but it doesn't seem to like all the mp3s I try to burn to it. I think it's because of the Sony software.

If I get a solid-state mp3 player I don't need anything huge. I don't have a lot of music, and the compression rate is about one minute to one megabyte, so 1 GB should hold approximately a thousand minutes of music. Works for me. A shuffle type would be fine too, I don't need to be able to make playlists. Pretty much the only time I ever listen to portable music is on long bus/train/plane trips.

I've got my eye on the Creative Muvo series because they apparently have a normal USB plug instead of some oddball specialty interface, and you can just drag and drop the files onto it like any other little drive. It's exactly what I thought an mp3 player was, back when I first heard about mp3 players. [emoticon]

I have the new Ipod Touch. It's flippin' amazing. Wouldn't trade it for the world. =D I have the 16GB- which is more than enough space for me. I only have 400 something songs.

I use Itunes- used to use Windows Media. But, that really sucks and only worked with my first mp3- which was itty bitty.

As for Mac or Windows. I can't stand Mac computers. Ugh. I had to use one at school for photography class. I couldn't stand it. D: I can't stand laptops either. I've only been on my moms and her friends' laptops but everytime I try to close a window, put the mouse in a text box or click a new link, the window minimize instead of doing what I asked. D< Windows for the win. <3

I'm thinking of upgrading to the iPod touch soon. My ipod is so old and the new touch looks pretty sweet. Though my friends told me to hold off on upgrading until september. apparently people are speculating that a newer version of the ipod touch will be out around then.

As far as I know, they aready came out with the new one. The 32GB [$500] one with all the new features of stock, weather, mail, maps, and notes. I haven't heard of any new ones coming out.
