Vilppu is visting!

omg omg Glen Vilppu is visiting our school for the next few days to hold life drawing seminars!! For those who aren't familiar with him. He's one of the few master figurative artists that are still alive and it's totally incredible to look at his work up close. Some life drawing stuff that he's done-

I want so bad to attend one of the seminars but a requirement is that I have to have taken advanced life drawing and I've only taken life drawing so far >:[ and all the days he's here I'll be in class so it's very unlikely that I'll be able to meet him. I don't know maybe I'll run into him in the hallways or something...or maybe I'll make my brother have him sign my Vilppu Drawing Manual if I don't get the chance to meet him. But it's totally awesome that he's here his work is gonna be displayed all over the school. Exciting stuff for sure

 Wow that's great! I'm familiar with Vilppu's work and have his drawing manual. Definitely the best figure drawing book out there. My figure drawing instructor was a student of his many years ago and we were taught the Vilppu way of drawing.

I'm sure the seminars will be fantastic. Take good notes and share them with us

I wasn't able to attend the session because I hadn't taken advanced life drawing yet I've only taken life drawing But I did get to meet him and made an idiot out of myself like always XP and he signed my drawing manual so that was pretty awesome.

My brother was able to go though so when Vilppu sends him the sketches he did for him I'll upload them in my image folio and show them to you guys and I'll take some photos of his work that's hanging up in the school hallways and show those too I'm still bummed that I didn't get to go to the seminar though from what i heard it was super packed.
