so i've finished graduation. now I'm stuck with the entire summer before starting college with nothing to do. I've put in some applications for some jobs. still haven't heard back. and I never had very many friends in high school to begin with. the ones I did have seem too busy to spend time with me anyway. i never really could count on them much anyway. I kind of figured they would abandon me over the summer. so I need to know some other ideas of what to do, cuz surfing the net, watching tv, and sleeping can get pretty boring. plus, i have manic depression, and it tends to act up when I don't feel like I'm accomplishing much. can you guys tell me what you did for the summer before you went to college? or those who haven't graduated yet give some suggestions?

That's pretty much all I did the summer I graduated. But um...you could always practice drawing and stuff (that's my solution to everything XD ) or you can do what Ark said go on a road trip. Those are always fun OR take up a random hobby that you never tried before liiiike....I dunno making the world's largest rubber band ball XD
Yes we can!
I don't know about you but I want a change.

thanks guys! I only have one question though..what is a kiwi? I know the fruit and the bird, but that can't be what you're refering to Ark.

LOL! Sorry ^^; A Kiwi is also a New Zealander. It's our national icon- the Kiwi is a native NZ bird. That's the one I mean ^^

You can try taking on a larger project. That's usually what I like to do. You could start working on a comic, a long work of fiction, a website, etc.
Hope you are enjoying PaperDemon.com. Let me know if there's anything I can do to improve your PD experience

Well, you can try a little harder to get a summer job. Not saying your not, just saying don't give up looking. Other thing might be ,go look at what local adult classes are going on. or simply just take a basic class for the summer. To me sounds like you just wanna get out the house for the summer. Road trips are fun, or even take up a hobby that gets you out doors. Chances are once you get out you are bound to run into new people with simular likes.

cool beans guys, I may have actually found a full time job for the summer! I had just about given up too. I don't want to get my hopes up, but someone in a management position is about to get fired at the loal dollar store. The store manager himself actually talked to me about the position when I brought in my application. He offered to interview me for it if I felt up to the challenge. He liked the fact that I had an internship at his bank and really seems to need someone to fill the position. Sorry for the long rant, but I'm really excited. Now my next problem is organizing all my art supplies. They've taken over my room! XD I think I will try to go visit my siblings though. My sister is trying to have a baby even though she's high risk. So I may have another neice or nephew on the way soon!

you could always try babysitting your neighbours kids or something. Go on a camping trip somewhere. Work as a waitress or waitor. Apply for a job at a hairdresser.
Or you could just easily work on a novel. Like I'm doing for the next week lol.

If we lived close together I'd so come over and bother you...
I had the same dilemma after I graduated in 98'. Sadly not much changed for the last 7 years. Social Black Hole... so I understand your feelings on this.

dude, I would love that. Right now, I've got a full time job, and I love it. However, I still love hanging out with my friends. I don't get that enough. eh well, life is life. I am going to St. Louis this August if you're ever around.
