That's right. Dad dragged me to the north shore Harvey Norman and he haggled some poor salesperson for 3/4 hour on some laptop that was WAY out of my budget cause he really didn't want me buying off an online store.

It's like... only marginly slower than my pc at home. That's SO depressing O.o

Purchased with a 3 year warranty, norton and a bag for $1930 (omgs... SO over my budget)

So yeah, it's a Toshiba A300E00 (the specs are in the link above). So, I wait for them to get the new lappy in from Mt Wellington and in the mean time, I cry that I'm now broke for the next 3 months while I preen its Harman Kardon speakers in joy. I do hope that it lasts longer than 3 hours without the battery though T.T

So... luckily, after I got all the add ons I needed for the cheeper ones, it only ends up being a litle darer but STILL T.T I REALLY didn't want to spend 2 grand... [emoticon]

Congrats on the Laptop. Do a search for This Program called Decrapifier. Its a free download. It works great to get rid of all the crap that new Comps come loaded with. It will get rid of all that free trail ware. It works grat I've used it a few times. It will speed up your laptop and free up space. Anyquestions where to find it Just ask. I heard about it from a video on Tigerdirect.

Oh yeah- going through the control panel is one of the first things I do. Specially with brand bought ones ^^ Assembled ones are ok. This one should be mostly fine though cause they wanted to charge me $100 to install everything. I said no, so hopefully I wont get the extra crap [emoticon]
