Weird dreams- Alot of us have them ^^ I have them all the time- some of them get used in stories. Which ones do you remember thoguh? Funny ones, weird ones... You know? ![[smiley]](http://www.paperdemon.com/images/forum/mysmilies/15pxyellow_laugh.gif)
I'll start with me-
This was when I was alot younger, but I use to go to a motorcamp where went the water dissappeared, you could walk across mud to the other side of the lake. In my dream, I was chatting to these ducklings that looked like sparrows (?!? I swear!! They looked like sparrows, but I thought ducklings!) and sudenly they ran off, and I looked under the rock I was sitting on, and there was this MEAN looking Platypus with this row of dragon teeth and a horned bill. Oh my gosh- have you EVER heard of something so bizzare? The Platypus chased after me, but I got back to the other side of the lake and all my duckling friends were throwing rocks at the platypus. That was pretty cool :3 IT made it not a nightmare ^^
It's still my weirdest dream to date though- what's yours?

Meh, I just have dreams that literally skip from one scene/storyline into the next as if the previous didn't exist at all. The weirdest/most confounding ones are those when you have an object (say, a computer or a candy) in one scene, then you move on to the next scene for a while, and when you come back, the object was longer there, as if it belonged in another reality (or part of the brain's image renderings that was wiped out to clear way for a new scene.... -___-).
But the greatest ones are those where I have wings, or when I fly... including those where I fly holding on to a flying book... like Harry Potter or something...... rrrriiiight.....

XD I have flying ones too, but they're usually jumping. It's weird. I had a dream once that I was at school and I was doing atletics and we were doing the long jump, and I found that if I willed myself to stay in the air as I leapt, I could glide just above the ground for enormous distances. Doesn't make for good chase scenes. It's easy to be caught by rope T.T

Though it's really interesting how well the mind can simulate the feeling of flying even though we don't have any prior flying experience at all (well, at least the directional part... come to think of it, I don't recall experiencing the wind-gushing part).
There was also this once when I had an idea for a car design, and I literally dreamed about drawing it down, and... the design didn't work so well, but the idea is, in my dream, my mind can render far more precise and complete pictures than I consciously can.

It takes ALOT of talent to replicate the imagination to paper, so don't worry. If or imaginations were as powerfull awake as they are asleep, we'd likely be considered insane. Most geniuses are.

I wonder if this "talent" is something that can be trained or is a gifted thing. My theory is: when we're awake, our mind is hardwire to register what we see as... well, what we see. If we actually see more things than what is there, it'd be called hallucination, no? XD It's when we're asleep and dreaming that the mind draws on the different sensory and memory modules of the brain to recreate scenes, and instead of rendering what we see with our eyes and output the info to the brain, these modules are now rendering things from memory. That's why.... we can't have completely realistic "mental image" when we're awake.... I guess.....
