Okay, I think maybe the problem for newer members is that they don't know about that, I certainly didn't (except for the forums). I think we need these links to be a little more obvious especially the chatroom -- it's well hidden. Maybe have a page that pops up/messages you about your activity (eg: "Have you dropped by the chatrooms today?" ![[smiley]](http://www.paperdemon.com/images/forum/mysmilies/15pxyellow_wink.gif)
or would that be too aggravating for most people?
Another thing that may increase user activity is having events -- like the drawing of the month thing, but maybe include poetry or other writing as well. And maybe have more than one contest running during the course of a month -- like this past Christmas you could have had a giant secret Santa art exchange as well as the monthly theme. That would have been awesome.
There's also the possiblity of doing an art calender too. Have everybody submit as many pieces as they want for whatever month, then at the end by popular vote pick the best pieces for each month and then make them into a buyable calendar -- you should be able to do that over on cafepress I should think.
Another idea might be having people pay you guys to advertise on your site -- dA does something similar -- or maybe even havea print/commision option or is that on the premium members option? If it isn't maybe soemthing to consider adding?
