How about a forum section where we can vent out our frustration and/or just say silly/random things?

I like this idea. A flame forum or something.
I left. Communty's too small. I might return when this place is bigger. Go to my other sites.

try the general topic forum. however, watch that you don't flame. it's not allowed on PD.

But what I want to post something that will make people think about how we view the real world, real life, the universe, God, and ourselves.

Maybe try the "Personal, Relationship, Life Advice forum?"
We really don't need to add any new forums. We have too many in fact for the amount of activity our forums have.

Yes, feel free to start a vent thread in General Discussion or the Personal forum.

Didn't we try having a venting thread before? This feels familiar, and I'm pretty sure we had to close it because people kept flaming everyone else.

Site rules do say no flaming. If you can keep it to a rant without doing flaming you should be ok. The mods will be here to keep an eye on things.

I blame it on my naivete (sp?) but I only have a vague idea of what flaming is (this sthe only the forum i've ever spent a lot of time on). It is just basically an excuse to explain rude and nasty forum messages against certain people?

To quote the folks that work for Urban Dictionary, "Flaming" is described as "An online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another."
This goes against the rules of this forum and for most forums in general for that matter. If you have something that troubles you, you should be capable of addressing it in a mature and civil manner as you would be addressing something to someone in a real life situation. To create a forum for the soulful purpose of being able to complain about whatever you don't like is immature and could wind up becoming very violent and could very well get this site shut down.
However, if you just want a forum where you can post about how "silly" things are, then take it to the threads aformentioned by your site moderator. The titles suggested in the thread should be considered as general guidelines for the type of subjects that should be discussed in that thread. So if you wanted a place to post silly things, do it in the general topics. *shrugs* not that hard.

That could work but what if I want to post something that is a theory or philisophical?

If your theory or philosophy is just different from someone else's, that's not a flame.
For example, it's probably allowed for you to say "here are my ideas about God and the afterlife". It would not be allowed for you to say "here are my ideas about it, and everyone else's are wrong and they're going to hell for it".
If you take every precaution to frame your ideas in a way that doesn't offend people, and someone does take offense to it, that's their problem, and they're not allowed to flame you for it either. Your words are your own responsibility, and theirs are theirs.
This is part of learning to write and communicate -- learning to say things clearly and to know the difference between something you said and something that someone else interpreted from it. It's how you learn to take responsibility for your own words.
