You know that you are from New York when you change your snow tires for new snow tires.

You know that you are from New York when someone else says "Great weather, eh?" when it's only 50 out.

You know that you are from sweden when you wont let anyone go nearer than two metres from you.

You know that you are from sweden when a person gets a heart attack and you look like nothing happened (since you don't wanna get involved)

You know that you are from sweden when you and your family's biggest dream is to move out from this dark pit called "country" and move to Thaiwan or Mallorca.

You know that you are from sweden when you hate your national food and always eat sushi and pizza or other food that's not 100% swedish.

You know that you are from sweden when you think that 10 weeks of summer holiday is too little for your poor brain.

You know that you're from Michigan when:

The four seasons are snow, more snow, even more snow and road construction.

In the summer, it can snow.

You know what a Yooper is.

Most of the people that you know that work, work in the automobile industry.

Most of the people that you know don't have a job.

When it's freezing outside (32 degrees Fahrenheit/0 degrees Celsius) you think that it's only a little chilly.

It can go from snowing and icy to rainy and warm in the same day.

If you live closer to one of the coasts, then you either own a boat, or know somebody that owns more than one boat.

You know that UP is a place, not a direction.

Your wife/girlfriend/friend that's a girl knows how to use the jumpers in your car.

You understand the phrase, "Could you pass me a serviette? I just dropped my poutine on the chesterfield."
You have Canadian Tire money in your kitchen drawers.
You get excited whenever an American television show mentions Canada. (Personal experience: I freaked out when Dr. Drakken from Kim Possible mentioned Canada.)
You perk up when you hear the theme song from "Hockey Night in Canada."
"Eh?" is a very important part of your vocabulary and more polite than, "Huh?"
The local paper covers national and international headlines on 2 pages, but requires 6 pages for hockey.

You should try living in New Zealand. Till Lord of the Rings, noone knew who we were. We now feature on the maps of the world in movies finally >.> Til LOTR, we never got featured on the world maps- unless the southern hemisphere did the movie. I still get excited when people do NZ referances ^^

You that you are from Rockport, Texas when...

you can fish and paint at the same time.

you go to bingo three nights a week.

babeque functions are pretty much regular.

cats regularly hang out at your house.

you enjoy feeding seaguls.

you cheered when you watch pelicans make those cool dive bomb splashes in the water.

you say hello to a crane.

you are used to smell of fishy waters.

you believe that art galleries are no big deal.

you think that chain restaraunts/stores are for rich people.

you live 1-3 blocks from the nearest souvineare shop/boutique/antique store.

you think that Wal-Mart is a mall.

driving all the way to Corpus Christi, Texas for a real mall is for special occasions only(like winning the big bingo jackpot worth $700).

You know you are from California when the government passes a budget with MASSIVE tax increases, MASSIVE borrowing, is still running a 20+ BILLION dollar deficit and calles it BALANCED!

You know you are in California when a semi-truck goes by and you throw youself under the desk.

You know you are from California when 'illegal aliens' are referenced to as 'undocumented immigrants'.

You know you are from California when it starts raining and the local news media immediately goes to STORM WATCH coverage and accidents on the roads spike. (since we don't know how to drive in rain here...)

You know you are from California when its 65 degrees outside and you put on a jacket.

You know you are from California when your governor is elected to office mainly because people were angry at the tax abuses...and has now turned his back on the tax payers and has elected to 'fix' the budget by...raising taxes!
