Every art community thrives because of its members and the members thrive because of the feedback they receive. At PaperDemon we want everyone to be happy and receive ample amounts of feedback so we’re encouraging everyone to comment and chat with your fellow PD members with this fun contest!

How to participate:
It's super easy! Comment on artwork, comics, and/or writing.

Judging:
Winner will be selected based on total number of comments posted during the duration of the contest. The person with the highest comment total will be our winner.

1st prize:
1 year premium account and spotlight on the paperdemon.com home page.

Restrictions:

Comments on your own submissions don't count
Comments on different pieces are encouraged (replying to the same one over and over wouldn't be very fun)

Contest Duration:
Begins March 15th, 2010 and goes through March 31st, 2010 GMT.

*We are not holding the contest in February 2010 as we'll be having a seasonal contest instead.

January 10 winner - duck113

October 09 winner - Dahdtoudi

September 09 winner - insomniac

August 09 winners - valkery-millenia and Moon-Huntress tied with 16 comments.

How will you keep up with people? How can you tell if the comments are meaningful ,and/or not on their own stuff?

We can't. But that's ok! If you see someone posting spammy comments, just report it.

We can pull up straight stats on how many comments a person has done. But we can't tell how meaningful they are. Perhaps we should start allowing people to rate the usefulness of a comment. I've thought of that idea before. Sounds cool.

I've updated the Art gallery main page to show recent comments. Now you can see what sorts of art pieces people are finding interesting enough to comment on [smiley]
