Where is everybody? Are you all too busy for PD?

First of all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN to you guys. For those of you who trick-or-treated, I hope you had a safe and fun time!

Hey, I've noticed the site has been a little slow the past week. Not a lot of submissions (I think we've had a lot of new members though) and not a lot of activity in the forums. Not to mention a drop in ad revenue. Is everyone too busy?

I'm pulling an all-nighter right now to work on art homework (I'm taking just a short break right now I swear!) but I still manage to pop up on the site now and then...

OK the truth is I'm highly addicted to Paper Demon and I spent WAY too much time on it this weekend and hardly did any homework (which explains the all-nighter). I visit the site like 50 times a day. And then I'm dissapointed when there's no new artwork or forum posts. Waaaah!

But seriously, where is everyone? What are you guys up too? Midterms? Oddly my best ideas for my personal art and for PaperDemon improvements come when it's crunch time for school, like it is right now. Then when I'm not so busy with school, I have no ideas and I'm totally dry! Why must this happen?! This is why summer and winter breaks sort of suck for me.

On a completely unrelated note, I've turned off the thing that automatically turns URLs into links in the forum because it's causing too many problems with the FCK editor. MOst of you don't mind. But another thing that is cool about this is you can now drag and drop your smilies into your forum post. Just open up the Smiley chart, click and hold on a smiley, and drag it into the FCK editor (Right now I think this will only work in the forum and not in PMs or anything). After you drag it, you can resize it:


Anyway, so what ARE you guys doing? You see what I'm doing with my time?! I'm posting big smileys and procrastinating on homework.

I know how you feel Susie.  It is sad there's not much activity at this time, I don't get to talk to my friends here too much either. I guess everybody's busy. As I said I'm pretty busy myself, but I try to pop in here whenever I can. Happy Halloween to you too, and y'all guys. I know it's not quite my custom but I love halloween anyways. lol. I am crying about the creativity break just like you.   I still appreciate the work you're doing with this site.

I havn't been around long enough to tell when the peek visitor hours are, but I was beginning to wonder why such an awesome site doesn't have more activity too.  I'm going to have to tell my art buddies more about the site.  Before I forget, Happy (belated) Halloween!

Yay! More people! Me, on the other, have been here like, every day...but haven't been able to post much recently because all my art is devoted to homework!!!!! Bleg! I'm getting my sketchbook back tomorrow, so I'll be able to post some gestural stuff. But, that's not until tommorrow!

HAPPY DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN!!!

School really sucks!  Its taking away all my time!  I have a feeling I'm going to be pulling an all nighter this week as well.  I have two essays due, and up untill this point I've procrastinated on starting them.  Evil pointless stupid forced essays...

I think the reason we sometimes get our best ideas, or urge to create when we are busy with other activities, is because most of the time we don't want to do the other activities (ie. homework).  Therefore we then start day dreaming about all the other stuff we would rather be doing than what we're currently doing...and then get ideas, and then go off and do them, procrastinate on other stuff, and end up staying all night working on homework the day before its due, ha ha.  Time is limited and therefore it is more valuable.  When summer comes or a holiday and we have a ton of extra time.  Time is not as valuable because we have a ton of it, and as a result we tend to squander it and are not as motivated to get as many things done as efficiently as we otherwise could.  That is my theory anyway.

Wahh! School is sucking up all of my internet time!!  I only have time to check in for a few minutes! Also, my scanner is giving me troubles. I do have some stuff ready though...I'm hoping that I can upload it soon.

Hey Zironix, sorry to hear about your scanner. My scanner has been giving me a strange problem for the last year now. When I first plug it in and connect it, my scans all turn up as completely black images. So then I have to unplug the power for 15 seconds, reconnect it, wait a little while for it to warm up, and then make my scan.

Yeah I haven't even posted anything in forever. I gotta have some artwork around here somewhere. Oh yeah I just remembered that I have a Sesshoumaru drawing that I haven't colored yet. Maybe I'll color it tomorrow and post it

Anyway I've been up for about 40 hours strait now. I should probably get some rest.

I had school and stuff... but now I should be able to do some stuff for PD!!! I'll get off my lazy bum and finish some drawing... so expect them soon from me
