I have an Idea.  I want a crit button that says I don't care about recieveing candy coated, comfort, or critiques- any feedback is cool.  Because I marked my newest as roast me, but they are finished so there's no real reason to critique it if I can't fix it.  And another problem is, I'm not a wuss and don't need to be told gently that someone likes my art or doesn't.

The question is:

Can you add a critique option that says something like:

"This artist has no prefrence regarding the critique given. Roast or flame or cheerlead- they accept any feedback".

 Because that's the one I would pick pretty much every time.

I think you're the second person to request that. Tennis Pirate I think first mentioned it to me but I didn't really like the idea. But since two people want it maybe I should reconsider. Anyone else have input on this?

So what- you have a finished picture and you want feed back on it which is low leveled critique cause you can't change it? Or do you want high leveled critique, but laying it on easy? I'm confused ^^;

Yeah see here's the thing. It doesn't make much sense to me to have a level where you accept any level of critique. I think if you don't care what critique you get you should probably pick roast because that includes good comments and bad. or pick candy coated.

I think a bit of this may have to do with 'Roast Me' seems to just point to a nagative critique.  I understand what kichi is saying...  Perhaps the description of 'Roast Me' should include 'I want a fank and constructive comments good AND bad'

Lastly, if you're looking for specific comments on a finished piece....tell people.

Yeah- Sugar coated covers good comments only, right? I mean- constructive stuff is gonna hurt. People don't try to be mean but if you're picking faults in your work, then you've got to take it in- not personally. I'd say just clarify Sugar coated should be positive crit only. Roasting should be for people that want to know what needs IMPROVEMENT.

May I point out folks- just cause its finished, doesn't mean that the NEXT picture can't be better. You don't find out what you're doing wrong now, you'll never improve. Not unless you are good at finding awesome books on art- I luckily was cause NOONE gave me critique when I was learning. It wasn't untill the last few years or so that my art improved drastically cause I got like.... 3 or so critiques that made me open my eyes. Good gods you guys- if you WANT to become a good artist, take our comments PLEASE- we are only helping you get better. Sure, it sux having your art pulled apart, but you WILL be a better artist if you take it in!! Don't draw a half hearted picture if you want to awe someone. I'm sure BR and many other artists will agree with me- art is a discipline.It requires time, paitence and skill. Anyone can do it, but only someone that wants to be beter will get there

No. "Comfort Food" is positive comments only. "Sugar coated" means you want a little bit of constructive criticism but want it gently told to you.

I've gotten another complaint from a member about the comment system saying they want the "no preference" thing where you can say anything so i guess I'll just have to add that option.

EDIT:
Ok I've gone ahead and added the choice you guys want. It's called "Potluck." I hope it's what you guys want.
