Here's an intersting topic which I hope hasn't been thought up yet.
How did you find PaperDemon?
For me I foudn it via an ex-friend's DA journal. And hey presto I'm here and it's a really snazy site which I love.:3
Only thing is when you type in 'art gallery sites' or something relating to free online gallery sites into google it never shows up. Anyone know why? I don't know if you have to pay more money to google to have it advrtised more but it'd be handy so more people knew about this great place!:3

Ah yes I'd like to hear what everyone's answer is to that question. How did all of you find Paper Demon?
On a side note, no one pays Google to be at the top of search engine results (with the exception of the sponsored ads which look different and are on the right). I don't see Deviant art or Elfwood or Ygallery in those search results either. The phrase is too general. Paper Demon shows up in other searches though like Inuyasha Fanart. Actually I just looked at the statistics for PD and this is the best traffic we've ever had this month. It's averaging 1100 unique hits per day. Last month the average was only 800.

I remember! It was summer, and I wanted to join an art site. Unfortunately, Sheezy (curse it!

) was down for practically the whole summer, and I didn't really like DA that much. So, I went to google, and looked up 'Art Sites' and put 'Sheezy' and 'Deviant' in it, as examples.
Then, I came across a discussion on one of the boards here...you guys were talking about sheezy, deviant and Y!Gallery...and then I browsed around, and decided that this was the site for me! ![[emoticon]](http://www.paperdemon.com/images/forum/mysmilies/15pxyellow_=).gif)

Hmmm...I think I was looking for DBZ fanart (specifically Gohan my favorite character) and I saw a link to PD. I thought "Hey! this looks interesting. " *click* and TaDa I'm here now. Actually for a few months I just looked through the site before I really joined.

I was posting in Y!Gallery at the time... I said something in my journal there about wanting to find an art site without genre restrictions, that would allow me to post nudity, and not make me wait MONTHS to get my pictures approved. Dennis pointed me here, and I thought 'what the Heck, the worst that can happen is that it won't be right for me, or I'll get flames. I can deal with that' so I signed on. Now this is my most frequented site, along with my e-mail.
I think I said something originally about "I wish there were an art site out there with instant-postability, and no solitary genre of art. Somewhere where I can post ALL my work and receive feedback," Yeah. Something like that anyway. Here I am!

I was working on an animation project at the time, and I started doing series of pics which I wanted to post, so I googled for an art site and this one looked like a good place. I think it was the design that caught my eye. I also wanted a place to put my poetry, although I didn't post much of it so far.
