I was surfing around and came across an old site with a lot of helpful tutorials for drawing anime it has hair styles, faces, folds for clothing, female bodies, and specific characters (mainly DBZ :grin [emoticon] I think its a great site for grasshoppers like myself and you wisemasters might find some of it helpful too. It's called Manga University and this link will take you right to the anime tutorials.

http://www.cablenet.ne.jp/%7ejapanime/tutorial/tutorial.html

There is also 2 other ones on the page to help people just starting out to learn to color with PaintShopPro 6 and PhotoShop5. I don't know how old those programs are but I'm guessing the tutorial might still help with newer versions if they are out of date now *shrug* Just incase anyone is interested.

I bet Tennis Pirate will be thankful for this! Thanks for the link. i just took a quick peek at the hair and drapery ones. The hair ones not too bad but the drapery one has a drawing that bugs me. The first page with the one on sleeves. most of it is really good though. i have a good tutorial by Sheldon I'll post in a second.

EDIT: Grrr I can't find it. It was one page and it showed like the 7 different types of folds. I have another drawing by him that shows those folds but it isn't as good [emoticon] Ignore the ugly dude in the center and just pay attention to the names and the little drawings around it.

EDIT 2:!
OMG I just had an idea. What if some of us wrote our own tutorial books. we could sell them on cafepress! hahah! They do books you know!

Sounds like a great idea! [emoticon] Would you mean for any who wanted to they would be writing their own or would a few of them be working on it together? Just wondering because that's what Otaku did. They made a book and had 8 artists go in on it with them.

Hmm... it's up to whoever wants to write the book/books. It gets messy with delivering the money to the artists if several artists go in on a book. they'd get less of a cut too. but the good thing would be it would be a cheaper price if someone wanted to buy all of the books, if it was all together, then it would be cheaper.

If you want to do the drawings and make a list of what you did, I can put it in a nice oraganized format and I have no care for a commision or anything. It would give me something to do when the heathens are sleeping that doesn't involve housework [emoticon] [emoticon]

Well, I dunno if I'd be good enough for something like this. Most of my art is not what it should be. X_X" I don't mind doing it but it would be up to someone else if they wanted me to or not.

Plus I'm having a really hard time with the size part for the art I said I'd use for the store. I'm no good with PS and it's not working right for me.

Moon Demon, I know what you mean. My sister and nephew live with me. My nephew will be 2 in 3 days. I can truly appricate when he's sleeping and me and my sister AREN'T cleaning!  [emoticon]

[emoticon] Isn't it amazing how much you enjoy times like that once kids are around. I swear its odd the new things you get to liking that you never thought of before the little heathens [emoticon]

OH WAIT! ANOTHER IDEA!

What about a Coloring Book?! Just line art right? Because the Cafepress books on the inside are black and white only. Maybe we can each start drawing some cute line art drawings and create our own coloring books!

[emoticon] Take that to the suggestion forum, please Susie *begs* I would so totally buy one or more for my heathens [emoticon] then maybe they wouldn't "help" mommy with her stuff [emoticon]   I know that's a dream but I would still get the books for the kids, I have a shister load of nephews/neices as well who would like em.
