Well I had to tell anyone that has never heard of Dia de los Santos Reyes about it. It's basicly the day of the 3 wise men. My husband has been telling me about this Mexican holiday for the last month because I was freaking out about Santa not being able to bring our boys very much for Christmas. He said it was another type of Christmas that is to honor the day the 3 wisemen brought their gifts and that we could make up for what I termed a sad Christmas on this day. I was conviced he was just making something up to make me feel better so I asked my neibhor who is from Mexico about it [emoticon] She confirmed it was a real holiday and that it is the day that her family does the major gift giving. I had to share my new knowledge with everyone and now I'm wondering if anyone else celebrates this day or not. I think it is soooooo cool because it gives more time to hit the after Christmas sales *Happy Dance*  I don't know the exact date yet but I'm going to look it up or if anyone here knows it let me know [emoticon]

It sounds alot like a Catholic holy day called (I think and I may be wrong) Epiphany.  That's the day the magi (or wise men) brought their gifts.  I think its January 6th, but I'm not completely sure. [emoticon]

Or for Macedonians, like my Father's/Grandfather's family (the country is Majorly Greek Orthodox) who celebrate Christmas on January 8th. Like the Catholic Epiphany mentioned in the post above.
