Need Opinions!

Hey ladies and gents!

Good news from my neck of the woods. Well, this summer, I'm going to get a new cat (yay!). I've got my breed picked out (Maine Coon), but, unfortunately, they come in several beautiful colors!

I would be so appreciative if you could lend me your opinions on which colors/markings you find the most striking. I know this is all based on personal opinion, and of course, it will come down to my own decision in the end...but...I'd love to hear from you all! Sorry the quality of some of these pictures, but they were the best I could find... Oh, also, these aren't the 'cats' per say I have to choose from, just the colors. Thanks!

I agree! I've never owned a solid black cat before, but my last cat was black and white...Thanks so much for the feedback!

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunatley, no, these cats aren't from a shelter. I love that you bring attention to it though. I've had the experience of owning a  shelter kitty before (she's the cat in my avatar-Sachiko ) but I have somewhat of a unique situation with my dog. These cats are also not from a pet store, they are from a reputable breeder, and will be spayed/neutered before I get him/her (probably him ). I don't want to sound mean! Tell me if it did, I'm just explaining.

Mini and EBS: Thanks for the responses! I'm really leaning toward any one of the tabby colors (silver and red being a favorite), but I'm still torn by the black and white...Hmmm! I have some work to do. Oh, and Mini, these aren't the cats I have to choose from, just the colors...I need to put that in somewhere!

oh i love'em all! Me and cats...sigh...i'm sure i'll turn out like an old lady who share her house with all the homeless cats she can find. I prefer the black one ...but knowing me, i'd take the cat who likes me the most...

I agree with you Qvar, i never bought a cat in my life... all the cats i ever had were homeless ones or from the shelter.

Okay, I've got a lot of opinions between the tabbies and the black...I think I've pretty much ruled out the smoke and black and white (sorry mom, but this is my cat!)
