It is wonderful to have your input into these kinds of matters. And I really don't know why they decided to put that little IV thing there. I have really really good veins on my hands, so who knows? Perhaps that is just how they think it will work best. But it is truly uncomfortable because you can't move your arm at all lie you said for fear of messing up that needle. And when you have to have your arm perfectly still for like 90 minutes, it gets a bit uncomfortable. Man, I whine alot.
Ah well.
Well, I am going to try to do some new art now guys. Love you all.Laughter is the best medicine and your face is curing the world.

Oh no, you're not whining. I would have more complaints then you if it were me. I'm guessing they put it there to avoid phlebitis. This is an inflammation of the vein and sometimes an infection that can be caused by the chemicals being injected, germs, etc. The anticubital space has larger vessels that are less likely to get phelbitis. I had phlebitis once when I was sick and had to go to the hospital. I got it because the nurse pushed and anti-nausea medication called phenergan too fast into my vein. Very dangerous since pushing IV meds too quickly can kill you, but I am alive and can tell the tale.
I like sharing my knowledge, it's what I went to school for and what I do as a career. i hope I'm not too annoying
