alrighty! every year at my high school, the art/drama/band/orchestra/and choir departments all band together to make one last show at the end of the year called the Pops Concert. this year the theme is Airport Terminal, which you can do a lot with such as lost luggage, being frisked, language barriers, etc. anywho, my friend Christen and i want to do a duet and i proposed an idea we both really like. we'll try a skit about fear of flying and then during the dialog, randomly ease into song and dance about it (thought of this cause i have horrible stage fright and i can be the one to be afraid of going onto the plane, no fear like real fear, lol, i tend to get bolder as i get use to it)

here's the problem though. we can't think of a song! especially one that is a duet! gwaaagh! and we really liked that idea too...anyone have any songs that you know of? if not, wanna keep your eyes open for us...? would be very helpful to us! ^_^

Well the first song that comes to mind for me is "You can fly" from the Disney animated version of Peter Pan. Then there's also "Fly like an Eagle (to the sea)."

Not sure if that helps or not. Good luck!

I agree with Arkillian.  Are you looking for a funny song, a sad one, a happy one, a comic one?  Do you want the sketch to be funny or serious?  Does the song have to do with flying or can it do with being afraid or something along those lines?  Is there a certain style it has to be in like jazz, pop, classical, soul, gospel. etc?  How much time do you have?  Would you have enough time to order the music if it was a bit obscure?

I used to be musical, so I'll rack my brain for you [emoticon]

er...type of song :/...honestly we aren't being picky, it’s harder to find a song based on a skit, then to make a skit based on a song, plus we really don't know what kinda songs are out there for us to use so we can't really narrow it down too much...we were thinking of a humorous skit though, but again, it’s easier to find a song and make a skit that fits. our preference is from celtic to old rock, no rap, no gossypol (kinda odd to have two white girls break out into gossypol, lol, especially in south dakota)... the only requirement is, it absolutely has to be able to be sung as a duet...*sighs* i hate work...lol...alrighty, deadline, we have to start as soon as possible, we have to practice for auditions first, then if we get in we have to practice for the concert itself. but i'll look those songs up for now, thankies! ^_^
